Lindsay Hardy
Lindsay John Hardy (17 Sep 1914 – 7 Feb 1994) was an Australian novelist, playwright, and screenwriter who worked in Australia, the US, and the UK. He is regarded as one of the greatest writers for Australian radio drama. Early life A native of South Australia, Lindsay Hardy received his education at Strathalbyn and Victor Harbor. He attended Adelaide University but did not graduate, and worked as a salesman in Sydney. He enlisted in 1939 and fought in the El Alamein and Papua New Guinea battles of World War II. In 1942, he was wounded by a shrapnel in North Africa; and in November 1943, his left arm was permanently disabled by a grenade in New Guinea. Writing career Back in Australia, Hardy wrote radio scripts in the late 1940s, first in Melbourne for Donovan Joyce, and then from 1950 in Sydney with Grace Gibson. After marrying in 1952 he moved to the US to write for television, but unsatisfied with the treatment of his scripts in Hollywood, he relocated to New York City ...

David Stephen Knight (January 16, 1928 – December 20, 2020) was an American film and television actor who worked for many years in Britain. He began his screen career as a contract player for the Rank Organisation who used him as the male lead in several of its productions. He was married to the Scottish actress Wendy McClure (1930–2022). Gene Anderson (28 March 1931, London — 5 May 1965, London) was an English actress who had a career in television, film, and theatre from the early 1950s up until her death in 1965 at the age of 34. Ewen Solon
Peter Ewen Solon (7 September 1917 – 7 July 1985) was a New Zealand-born actor, who worked extensively in both the United Kingdom and Australia. At the outbreak of World War II, Solon became a member of the First Echelon, 2nd NZEF that saw service in the Middle East. Later appointed as a commissioned officer, he married Frances Gwendolyne Hughes, a New Zealander; also serving in Egypt during the War. John Antony Townley (6 November 1912 – 27 September 1984), known professionally as Toke Townley, was an English actor. Biography Townley was born on 6 November 1912 at Great Dunmow, Essex; his father was a vicar. His first name, "John", was changed to "Toke" shortly after his birth. After he left school he worked as a clerk in a factory, acting in his spare time. He did not become a professional actor until his early 30s, first appearing at Birmingham Repertory Theatre.
