ATM Shamsuzzaman
Abu Taher Mohammad Shamsuzzaman ( bn, আবু তাহের মোহাম্মদ শামসুজ্জ়ামান; 10 September 1941 – 20 February 2021), better known as known as ATM Shamsuzzaman, was a Bangladeshi film and television actor, director and screen-playwright. He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2015 by the Government of Bangladesh. He won Bangladesh National Film Awards five times for his roles in ''Dayee Ke?'' (1987), ''Madam Fuli'' (1999), '' Churiwala'' (2001), ''Mon Bosena Porar Table E'' (2009) and '' Chorabali'' (2012). Early life and career Shamsuzzaman was born into a Bengali Muslim family at his maternal home in Daulatpur, Noakhali on 10 September 1941. Amjad Hossain
Amjad Hossain (14 August 1942 – 14 December 2018) was a Bangladeshi film director, actor, scriptwriter and lyricist. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Director twice, for the films ''Golapi Ekhon Traine'' (1978) and '' Bhat De'' (1984). He also won Bangla Academy Literary Award in 2004 and Ekushey Padak in 1992. Career Hossain was born in Jamalpur on 14 August 1942. Hossain debuted his acting career in the film ''Tomar Amar'' (1961). He made his directorial debut as an assistant in the film ''Agun Niye Khela'' (1967). Nasiruddin Yousuff
Nasiruddin Yousuff is a Bangladeshi stage and film director. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Director for the film '' Guerrilla'' (2011). He was awarded Ekushey Padak by the Government of Bangladesh in 2010 for his contribution to Bangladeshi theater. He was a freedom fighter, an urban guerrilla who fought for independence of Bangladesh. Career Yousuff, along with Selim Al Deen, founded "Dhaka Theatre" in 1973 and later "Bangladesh Gram Theatre". Sheikh Niamat Ali (30 April 1940 – 24 November 2003) was a Bangladeshi film director. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Director in 1979, 1985 and 1995 for all the three feature films he ever made - ''Surja Dighal Bari'', ''Dahan'' and ''Anyajiban'' respectively. Chashi Nazrul Islam
Chashi Nazrul Islam (11 October 1941 – 11 January 2015) was a Bangladeshi film director and producer. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Director twice for the films Shuvoda (1986) and Hangor Nodi Grenade (1997). He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 2004 by the Government of Bangladesh. Early life and career Islam was born on 23 October 1941 at Shomoshpur village in Sreenagar Upazila of Munshiganj to Mosleh Uddin Khan and Shayesta Khanom. He was the eldest among four brothers and three sisters. His father was a service holder at Jamshedpur, India. At the age of 16, his father died. He got a job at the office of his uncle, the then auditor general of Pakistan. He was a member of the theatre organisation ''Krishti Sangha''.
