"ATLiens" is the second single from hip hop duo Outkast's second studio album of the same name. It is a double A-Side single, alongside the track "Wheelz of Steel". Both songs were written and produced by OutKast. The song appeared on the FOX series ''New York Undercover''. The single peaked at number 35 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. "ATLiens" is widely considered one of Outkast's best songs. In 2020, '' The Ringer'' ranked the song number three on their list of the 50 greatest Outkast songs. New York Undercover
''New York Undercover'' is an American Police procedural, police drama that aired on the Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox television network from September 8, 1994, to February 11, 1999. The series starred Malik Yoba as Detective J.C. Williams and Michael DeLorenzo as Detective Eddie Torres, two undercover detectives in New York City's Fourth Precinct who were assigned to investigate various crimes and gang-related cases. The cast also included Patti D'Arbanville, Patti D'Arbanville-Quinn as their superior, Lt. LaFace Records was an American record label based in Atlanta, Georgia, that operated as a unit of Sony Music Entertainment from 2008 to 2011 and was historically a part of Bertelsmann Music Group from 1989 to 2004. It was most active and achieved its greatest commercial success during the 1990s, dealing largely in the field of urban music. It was originally distributed by its co-creator Arista Records from 1989 through 2001, after which it was shuttered and absorbed into Arista. In 2004, the label was rebooted, and it began operating through Jive Records until both were absorbed into RCA Records in 2011. Today, the label's back catalog and reissues are managed by Legacy Recordings. Company history LaFace was formed in 1989 as a joint venture between the producing duo Antonio "L.A." ''ATLiens'' is the second studio album by American hip hop duo Outkast. It was released on August 27, 1996, by Arista Records and LaFace Records. From 1995 to 1996, Outkast recorded ''ATLiens'' in sessions at several Atlanta studios—Bosstown Recording Studios, Doppler Recording Studios, PatchWerk Recording Studio, Purple Dragon Studios, and Studio LaCoCo—as well as Chung King Recording Studio and Sound On Sound Recording in New York City. The record features outer space-inspired production sounds, with Outkast and producers Organized Noize incorporating elements of dub and gospel into the compositions. Several songs feature the duo's first attempts at producing music by themselves. "Jazzy Belle" is the third and last single from hip hop duo Outkast's second studio album, ''ATLiens''. It was released as a remix single and it peaked at #52 on the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100. The song is the only single from the album ''ATLiens'' to be produced by Organized Noize, the other two singles being produced by OutKast themselves. The rapper Tupac Shakur is mentioned in Verse Two by Big Boi. United States, American rapper Ludacris claims he tried to sneak in to the music video for the song but was escorted out. Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds provides back up vocals on the Swift C's Remix. Big Boi has claimed that he didn't like the production on "Jazzy Belle", but Andre 3000 was so enthusiastic with the track that he went along with it.
