Animator (festival)
The ANIMATOR International Animated Film Festival (Polish: Międzynarodowy Festiwal Filmów Animowanych ANIMATOR), organized in Poznań under the patronage of the city of Poznań since 2008, is the most important international animated film festival in Poland. During every edition of this event more than 500 films from all over the world, including retrospectives, thematic reviews, premieres and screenings with live music and rarely shown works of animation pioneers are presented. The festival reviews are accompanied by the International Short and Full-length Animated Film Competition, judged by an international jury, for which films from more than fifty countries are entered. The grand prize awarded at this competition is the Golden Pegasus (Polish: "Złoty Pegaz"). Animation Film Festivals
Animation is a method by which still figures are manipulated to appear as moving images. In traditional animation, images are drawn or painted by hand on transparent celluloid sheets to be photographed and exhibited on film. Today, most animations are made with computer-generated imagery (CGI). Computer animation can be very detailed 3D animation, while 2D computer animation (which may have the look of traditional animation) can be used for stylistic reasons, low bandwidth, or faster real-time renderings. Jonas Odell (born 10 November 1962 in Stockholm) is a Swedish music video and film director and founder of FilmTecknarna. Odell, who specializes in a mix of animation and live action, has directed a number of short films, music videos and commercials. His short film '' Never Like the First Time!'' Dmitry Alexandrovich Geller (russian: Дмитрий Александрович Геллер; born 12 October 1970) is a Russian animator and film director. Biography Geller began his creative activity as an independent artist, participating in art exhibitions in St. Petersburg, Copenhagen, Washington and Sofia. In his native city Yekaterinburg he participated in exhibitions in several civic centres. In 1985, together with a group of architects, he participated in creation of happenings at disco parties in a civic centre. In 1990s he began working as an artist at the studio "A-Film" at the Sverdlovsk Film Studio. Anita Killi
Anita Killi (born 17 January 1968 in Stavanger) is a Norwegian animator and film director. Background and work Anita Killi studied graphic design and illustration at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry (SHKS) in Oslo between 1988 and 1990 and animation at Volda University College between 1990 and 1992. She mastered in animation at SHKS in 1996. She also studied in Estonia. Anita Killi has made several award-winning animated films, among others ''The Hedge of Thorns'' (2001), distinguished as the Norwegian film to win the most international awards in 2002. Andreas Hykade
Andreas Hykade (born 1968 in Altötting, Bavaria) is a German animator, cartoonist, and voice actor. Before studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart from 1988 to 1990, he attended König-Karlmann-Gymnasium Altötting. He worked as an animator in London in 1991, then studied animation at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg until 1995. Since then he works as animation director, partly at "Studio Filmbilder" in Stuttgart, and as the Professor for Animation at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. Hykade's trademark style is based on very simple characters which move in smooth animation. Sometimes, like in the two music videos for Gigi D'Agostino, there's just a line over a flat color, much like the classical '' La Linea''-character of Osvaldo Cavandoli (to which they are a loving homage).
