Ally Anderson
Alexandra Anderson (born 25 March 1994) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Brisbane Lions in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Anderson was part of the Brisbane team that won the AFL Women's premiership in 2021 and won the AFL Women's season seven best and fairest award. She is also a dual Brisbane best and fairest winner and was named in the 2019 AFL Women's All-Australian team. Anderson is the AFL Women's equal games record holder and Brisbane equal games record holder with 66 games. Tamara Smith (footballer)
Tamara Francine Smith, an Australian politician, is a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly representing Ballina for the Greens since 2015. Smith is the first non-conservative to represent the Ballina area in 88 years, first woman to hold the seat of Ballina, and the first regional Greens MP to represent a regional lower house seat in Australia. Akec Makur Chuot
Akec Makur Chuot (born 5 September 1992) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Hawthorn Football Club in the AFL Women's competition. Chuot was born on 5 September 1992 in South Sudan, the same year her father died. She was raised by her single mother in a family of seven and for twelve years they lived in Kakuma, refugee camp in Kenya. The family was sponsored by their uncle and moved to Perth. She attended Aranmore Catholic College. Her sister is Ayor Makur Chuot, a member of the Western Australian Legislative Council representing the North Metropolitan region. In 2009, she tried Australian Rules football for the first time at an East Perth Football Club all-girls carnival. Tilly Lucas-Rodd
Matilda Lucas-Rodd (born 18 April 1996) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Hawthorn Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She previously played for the Carlton Football Club from 2017 to 2019 and the St Kilda Football Club from 2020 to 2022. She was the inaugural Hawthorn best and fairest winner, and has served as Hawthorn captain since season seven. AFL Women's career Carlton (2017–2019) Lucas-Rodd was drafted by Carlton with the 99th overall selection in the 2016 AFL Women's draft, making her debut in Round 1, 2017, in the league's inaugural match at Ikon Park against Collingwood. Aileen Gilroy (born 1 March 1993) is an Australian rules footballer playing for Hawthorn in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Gilroy signed with North Melbourne as a rookie during the 2019 rookie signing period in August. She made her debut against Melbourne at Casey Fields in the opening round of the 2020 season. Australian rules football career On 30 August 2019, Gilroy signed with North Melbourne as a rookie during the 2019 rookie signing period, joining her fellow countrywoman Mairéad Seoighe at the club. Quickly establishing herself as a fan-favourite, Gilroy made 7 appearances for the Kangaroos in 2020, averaging almost 10 disposals a game, and finished fifth in the best-and-fairest count. Jessica Evelyn Duffin (; born 27 June 1989) is an Australian sportswoman. In cricket, she has made 117 international appearances and won four world championships as a member of the Australian women's team. Catherine Brown (footballer)
Catherine Brown (born 10 January 1994) is a retired Australian rules footballer who played with the Hawthorn Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW) competition. Brown is also a former soccer player, who last played for Canberra United in the Australian W-League. Soccer career Brown played 32 times for Canberra United in the W-League between 2012 and 2015. Her career at W-League ended after she sustained a long-term knee injury while training to play Australian rules football. She attempted to return with a four-week trial for Canberra United before the 2017–18 W-League season but was not offered a contract. Cora Staunton
Cora Staunton (born 13 December 1981) is an Irish sportswoman. She is best known as a ladies' Gaelic footballer, winning four All-Irelands and three Ladies' National Football League titles with Mayo. She has also been an All Star on eleven occasions. In addition to playing Gaelic football, Staunton has also played three other football codes at a senior level. In 2006, as an association footballer, she won an FAI Women's Cup winner's medal with the Mayo Ladies' League representative team. Lauren Bella (born 12 September 2000) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Gold Coast in the AFL Women's competition (AFLW). She has previously played for Brisbane. Early life Bella was born in Mackay, Queensland. Her father, Anthony, was a professional rugby league player for the South Queensland Crushers, and her uncle, Martin, also played rugby league professionally, representing Queensland in State of Origin as well as Australia in international competitions. Lauren began playing Australian rules football as a child, but had to stop playing when the local competition no longer allowed girls to compete in mixed teams with boys. Lauren Ahrens (born 19 August 1991) is an Australian rules footballer playing for Gold Coast in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Early life Ahrens was born on the Gold Coast and attended Palm Beach Currumbin State High School throughout her upbringing. Upon graduation, she relocated to Victoria and began studying at Melbourne University. She began playing Australian rules football for the first time with the Melbourne University Mugars team. She also had stints with VFLW teams St Kilda and Essendon. AFLW career Ahrens was pre-listed by her hometown team, the Gold Coast Suns, in the lead up to the 2019 AFL Women's draft.
