ACB Stats Leaders
ACB statistical leaders are the season by season stats leaders and all-time stats leaders of the top-tier level professional basketball league in Spain, the Liga ACB, and its predecessor, the Liga Nacional Primera División. The ACB's scoring title is awarded to the player with the highest points per game average in a given regular season. Player nationality set by the player's national team affiliation. Spanish Basketball League System
The Spanish basketball league system is a series of connected competitions for professional basketball clubs in Spain. The system has a hierarchical format with a promotion and relegation system between competitions at different levels. Men There are currently four different nation-wide leagues in the system - the 1st tier Liga ACB, the 2nd tier LEB Oro, the 3rd tier LEB Plata and the 4th tier Liga EBA. Liga ACB is organized by the ''Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto'' (Basketball Clubs Association), which is a private organization. LEB leagues and Liga EBA are organized by the Spanish Basketball Federation while the lower tiers are organized by the regional federations. Wayne Hightower
Wayne A. Hightower (January 14, 1940 – April 18, 2002) was an American professional basketball player who had a long and productive career in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and American Basketball Association (ABA) from 1962 to 1972. He stood and primarily played the Forward (basketball), forward positions. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and attended Overbrook High School (Philadelphia), Overbrook High School from 1955 to 1958, where he played basketball. His professional career began in 1961 after his departure from the University of Kansas at the end his junior year. Hightower stated he did so to financially support his family, but he would have been ineligible to play basketball his senior year due to his poor Grading in education, academic standing. Clifford Luyk
Clifford Luyk Diem (born June 28, 1941) is an American-born Spanish retired professional basketball player and coach, who played professionally in Spain and Europe from 1962 to 1978. He played college basketball for the University of Florida. He was drafted by the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA), but never played a regular season game in the NBA. He signed with the Spanish professional team Real Madrid, helped Real Madrid become the dominant European basketball team of the 1960s, and is remembered for his trademark, old-school hook shot. Club Joventut Badalona, S.A.D. () is a Spanish professional basketball club based in Badalona, Catalonia, Spain, playing in the Liga ACB and the EuroCup. Miles Aiken
Miles Aiken (born December 27, 1941) is an American former professional basketball player, coach of the British Olympic basketball team, and sportscaster of basketball and American football. He was a center in college for St. Bonaventure University in the 1960s, and averaged over 23 points a game before suffering a knee injury. After college, he played as a power forward in the EuroLeague. There, he won two championships with Real Madrid. He also won the FIBA Saporta Cup with Partenope Napoli. Aiken coached the British Olympic basketball team in the 1970s, and later became a sportscaster of basketball and American football. Early life Aiken was born in New York City.
