A village ( tr, köy) is the second smallest settlement unit in Turkey. Hierarchical model There are 81 provinces ( tr, il) in Turkey. The governor of each province is called '' vali''. There are a number of ilçe (district) in each province. In İstanbul, the most populous province, the number of districts is 39. But in small provinces the number may be as low as 3. In 51 provinces, the capital of the province is also a district known as the central district with the same name. (i.e., The central district of Karaman Province is called Karaman) In 30 provinces however, the capital city is also divided into central districts, all of which have unique names. Erzincan Province ( tr, ; ku, Parezgêha Erzînganê) is a province in the Eastern Anatolia Region of Turkey. In Turkey, its capital is also called Erzincan. The population was 236,034 in 2018. Geography Erzincan is traversed by the northeasterly line of equal latitude and longitude. It lies on the Northern Anatolian Fault, why it is often the location for earthquakes like one on 27 December 1939 and the earthquake on the 13 March 1992. Türkan Örs Baştuğ
Türkan Örs Baştuğ (1900 – September 27, 1975) was a Turkish school teacher, politician and one of the first 18 female members of the Turkish parliament. Private life Türkan was born to Mehmet Sabri and his spouse Abide in Üsküdar, Istanbul, then Ottoman Empire. in 1900. After finishing Bezmialem School, she studied philosophy in Darülfünun, the former Istanbul University. She graduated in 1925 as one of the first female students of the Philosophy Department. After the enactment of 1934 Surname Law, she took the family name "Baştuğ". Türkan Baştuğ married to Bekir İzzet Örs in 1937. The marriage lasted until 1946. School teacher career Right after her graduation, she began working as a school teacher for sociology, psychology, logic and metaphysics at Bosphorus High School.
