Açık Radyo
Açık Radyo (Open Radio 95.0) is an independent radio station broadcasting from Istanbul to metropolitan Istanbul and surrounding areas. The station's format includes news, music and talk radio. Structure Açık Radyo first began broadcasting November 13, 1995. It is a regional radio station, founded as a private company (as required by Turkish law) but functioning similarly to a nonprofit organization. It has 92 partners, holding near-equal shares. By 2009, Açık Radyo had worked with 935 individuals on more than 822 talk and music shows. All of Açık Radyo's presenters and producers are volunteers except morning show program. Nearly 200 presenters contribute to 134 different programs broadcast on Açık Radyo each week. The radio station has hosted more than 14,000 guests in its 14 years of broadcasting. Radijojo World Children's Radio Network (in brief: Radijojo) is a global non-profit initiative empowering children to use radio and the internet as tools for global learning and cultural exchange. Radijojo is a Germany-based NGO cooperating with schools, community radios, education, and youth and culture organizations worldwide. Radio Netherlands (RNW; nl, Radio Nederland Wereldomroep) was a public radio and television network based in Hilversum, producing and transmitting programmes for international audiences outside the Netherlands from 1947 to 2012. Habitat II, the Second United Nations Conference on Human Settlements was held in Istanbul, Turkey from June 3–14, 1996, twenty years after Habitat I held in Vancouver in 1976. Popularly called the "City Summit", it brought together high-level representatives of national and local governments, as well as private sector, NGOs, research and training institutions and the media. Universal goals of ensuring adequate shelter for all and human settlements safer, healthier and more livable cities, inspired by the Charter of the United Nations, were discussed and endorsed. Habitat II received its impetus from the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development and General Assembly resolution A/RES/47/180. Radio Nova (or simply ''Nova'') is a radio station broadcast from Paris, created in 1981 by Jean-François Bizot. Its playlist is characterized by non-mainstream or underground artists of various music genres, such as electro, new wave, reggae, jazz, hip hop and world music.
