Sergio Azzolini
Sergio Azzolini (born 1967, in Bolzano) is an Italian bassoonist and music conductor. Early life Azzolini was born in Bolzano, Italy in 1967 and learned bassoon after his mother suggested being a musician would provide a long term job for him. He studied from 1978 to 1985 at Conservatorio Claudio Monteverdi in Bolzano with Romano Santi and then at Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover, under Klaus Thunemann, with whom he studied until 1989. At this time, he was already a soloist in the European Union Youth Orchestra. Career Azzolini has won awards at "Prague Spring", "C.M. von Weber" Competition and "ARD Münich". He has recorded many productions of chamber music and soloistic performances for EMI records, Naïve, Sony and Chandos. Tito Azzolini
Tito Azzolini (June 1837 in Bologna – December 8, 1907) was an Italian architect, active mostly in or near Bologna. Biography In 1857, he studied architecture and perspective at the Accademia of Fine Arts of Bologna, under Francesco Cocchi. For a few years, worked as a scenographer for a number of theaters, including the Teatro Apollo of Rome. In 1867, he became a professor at the Royal Institute of Fine Arts of Bologna. He was also a Consigliere municipale and inspector of archeology (scavi) and monuments. In Bologna, he labored in scenography for the Teatro Comunale and sent his pupils to study the art as it was practiced in Vienna and Monaco, especially Wagnerian works. He helped design theaters in Bologna and Sinigaglia. He helped design a new cemetery or Camposanto for Sinigaglia. Giovanni Bernardino Azzolini
Giovanni Bernardino Azzolini (c. 1572 – 12 December 1645) was an Italian painter and sculptor who continued painting in a late-Mannerist style, mainly active in Naples and Genoa. He is also known by Azzolino or Mazzolini or Asoleni. Life and work Born in the town of Cefalù in Sicily, where he likely received his initial training. He had moved to Naples by 1594. He then settled in Genoa, where he was elected to local ''Accademia di San Luca'' (painter's guild) in 1618. In Naples, he painted a ''Presentation at the Temple'' (1599) for the church of Santa Maria La Nova. He painted a ''Pentecost'' for the church of San Francesco at Caiazzo.
