Azwan Salleh
Azwan bin Muhamad Saleh (born 6 January 1988) is a Bruneian footballer who plays for DPMM FC as a midfielder or left-sided full-back. His patronym is sometimes erroneously written as Salleh. He is currently the player with the most international appearances for the Brunei national football team with 33 caps. Club career Azwan first played club football with QAF FC in the B-League Premier I, gaining his first international appearances while his team was sent to represent the national team for regional qualifying tournaments of the likes of AFC Challenge Cup and the AFF Championship. He transferred to the under-21 team of DPMM in 2007, initially playing as a striker. He played deeper in midfield as the 2007-08 season progressed, which would be the final season DPMM played in Malaysia. The association football tournament at the 2011 Southeast Asian Games (Indonesian: ''Sepak bola di SEA Games 2011'') took place from 3 to 21 November 2011. This edition of the tournament was only for the men's competition. No women's competition was held as the host nation Indonesia did not have enough stadiums to host two categories of football at the same time, but other reasons were put into consideration, such as the poor performance of the Indonesian women's national team. It was played among U-23 (under 23 years old) national teams. All matches took place in Jakarta. 2008 Sukma Games
The 2008 Sukma Games, officially known as the 12th Sukma Games was a Malaysian multi-sport event held in Terengganu from 31 May to 9 June 2008. Selangorian swimmer Foo Jian Beng and Sarawakian swimmer Marellyn Liew were announced as Best Sportsman and Best Sportswoman of the event respectively. Development and preparation The 12th Sukma Games Organising Committee was formed to oversee the staging of the event. Venues The 2008 Sukma Games used a mix of new and existing venues. Some venues were existing public-sporting facilities, while others were newly constructed venues. Some retrofitting work were done in venues which are more than a decade old. The 2007 Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy is the third edition of the invitational tournament hosted by Brunei. The tournament take place in Brunei from 3–12 March 2007. Eight teams from the ASEAN Football Federation participate in the tournament for under the age of 22. Thailand emerged as the champion after beating Myanmar by 5–4 in the final penalty shoot-out, while both Cambodia and Malaysia shared the third place. Kasuka FC
Kasuka Football Club () is a football club from Brunei, that plays in the Brunei Super League. History Early days Due to the demand from the residents of Kampong Sungai Kedayan to play in the district league, Kasuka FC was founded in 1993. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, the club enjoyed a great deal of success. For the 1997–98 season, they won the Brunei-Muara District League and added the Police Cup (PRG) and Mukim Berakas Cup (Perbekal) to their collection of victories. The Brunei FA Cup is Brunei's premier knockout tournament in men's football. The current format is administered by the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) since 2012. The championship winner will receive B$10,000 and first runner up will get B$7,000 ($5,000 USD) as prize money. Geylang International Football Club is a professional football club based in Bedok, Singapore, which plays in the Singapore Premier League, the top division of football in Singapore. Muhammad Azwan Ali Rahman
Muhammad Azwan bin Ali Rahman (bron 11 January 1992) is a Bruneian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for DPMM FC and the Brunei national team. He is his club's current captain. Club career A product of Brunei's Sports School, Azwan first represented Jerudong FC in the Brunei Premier League at the age of 15. He was transferred to a national youth team (formerly the under-16s) playing in the Brunei Premier League II in 2011 and became their captain. Azwan moved to Indera SC in 2012 and in the following year won the inaugural Brunei Super League, scoring 17 goals (including seven in one match) to finish as top scorer. 2012 Singapore League Cup
The 2012 Singapore League Cup (known as the StarHub League Cup for sponsorship purposes) was held between 26 July to 11 August 2012. Traditionally held as a knockout competition, the 2012 edition saw a new format where four groups of three teams battled it out for a place in the semi-finals. In addition, the four teams that finished third in their respective groups played in a separate Plate Competition consisting of two semi-finals and a final. The winner of the StarHub League Cup, DPMM FC, walked away with SGD$30,000 in prize money, while the runner up of the competition, Geylang United received SGD$15,000 in prize money. The winner of the Plate competition, Balestier Khalsa, also walked away with SGD$5,000 in prize money.
