Azurá Breeona Stevens (born February 1, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Sparks of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). Stevens played collegiately for the Duke Blue Devils and the Connecticut Huskies. She was drafted with the 6th overall pick in the 2018 WNBA draft by the Dallas Wings. Background Stevens was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, the daughter of Damon and Kaasha Stevens. She attended Cary High School in Cary, North Carolina, graduating in 2014. She played basketball at Cary High, where she averaged 30 points, 20 rebounds, and four blocks her senior year. The Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) is an American professional basketball league. It is composed of twelve teams, all based in the United States. The league was founded on April 22, 1996, as the women's counterpart to the National Basketball Association (NBA), and league play started in 1997. Astou Ndour-Fall ( Ndour; born August 22, 1994) is a Spanish professional basketball player for the Chicago Sky of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and for Çukurova Basketbol of the Turkish Women's Basketball League. Born in Senegal, she represents Spain internationally. Early life Astou Ndour was born in Dakar, Senegal on August 8, 1994. Both of her parents had been basketball players. Katie Lou Samuelson (born June 13, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Sparks of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She played college basketball for the UConn Huskies. High school career Samuelson played for the Mater Dei High School basketball team for three seasons. 2020 WNBA Season
The 2020 WNBA season was the 24th season of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The Washington Mystics were the defending champions. Planned changes to the league's schedule included an increase from 34 to 36 regular season games for each team, the introduction of a mid-season Commissioner's Cup tournament, and more games broadcast on ESPN and ABC. 2019 Dallas Wings Season
The 2019 WNBA season was the 22nd season for the Dallas Wings franchise of the WNBA. This was the franchise's 4th season in Dallas. The season tipped off on May 24, 2019 versus the Atlanta Dream. During the off-season, interim coach Taj McWilliams-Franklin was not retained. Brian Agler was hired from the Los Angeles Sparks to become the team's new head coach. The Wings started the season slowly, losing their first five games in a row. However, they turned things around, winning 4 of their next 6 to finish June with a 4–7 record. July proved to be disastrous for the Wings. They posted a 1–8 record in July only beating the Los Angeles Sparks at home. The Wings managed to turn things around in August, going 5–6 overall. 2018 Phoenix Mercury Season
The 2018 WNBA season was the 22nd season for the Phoenix Mercury franchise of the WNBA. The season tipped off on May 14th. The Mercury started the season slowly, going 2–3 in May. They won the first two games, but lost the next three. All five games were against eventual playoff teams. However, the Mercury caught fire in June, posting an 11–2 record which included an 8 game winning streak. The June high turned into a July low. The team was 2–7 in July with their only wins coming against Connecticut, and league-worst Indiana. The Mercury managed to turn it around and end the season on a high, going 5–2 in August. 2018 Dallas Wings Season
The 2018 WNBA season will be the 21st season for the Dallas Wings franchise of the Women's National Basketball Association, WNBA. This will be the franchise's 3rd season in Dallas. The season tips off on May 18. Dallas had an up and down start to the season, posting a 2–3 record in May followed by a 5–4 record in June.
