"Azul" (English: ''Blue'') is a song and title track written by Kike Santander and Gustavo Santander and performed by Mexican singer-songwriter Cristian Castro. It was released as the lead single from his seventh studio album ''Azul'' (2001). At the 2002 ''Billboard'' Latin Music Awards, the song received a nomination for Latin Pop Airplay of the Year which was awarded to Juan Gabriel for " Abrázame Muy Fuerte". The song also received a Lo Nuestro Award nomination for Pop Song of the Year which was also awarded to "Abrázame Muy Fuerte" by Gabriel. Christian Sáinz Valdés Castro (born 8 December 1974), known professionally as Cristian Castro or Cristian, is a Mexican pop singer. He is the son of actors Veronica Castro and Manuel "El Loco" Valdés, and nephew of actors Ramón Valdés (known for playing Don Ramón in El Chavo del 8) and Germán "Tin-Tan" Valdés.
