Ayub (Arabic: ايّوب ''Ayūb'', commonly written ايوب) is the Arabic name of the Abrahamic prophet Job. Here it refers to the Islamic prophet which is mentioned in the Quran, see Job in Islam. The spread of the name among Muslims is partly due to the fame of Saladin, founder of the Ayyubid dynasty, whose name in Arabic is ''Salạ̄hu d-Dīn Yūsuf ibn Ayūb''. Ayub Khan (President Of Pakistan)
Muhammad Ayub Khan ( Urdu: ; 14 May 1907 – 19 April 1974), was the second President of Pakistan. He was an army general who seized the presidency from Iskander Mirza in a coup in 1958, the first successful coup d'état in the country's history. Popular demonstrations and labour strikes supported by the protests in East Pakistan ultimately led to his forced resignation in 1969. During his presidency, differences between East and West Pakistan arose to an enormous degree, that ultimately led to the Independence of East Pakistan. Trained at the British Royal Military College, Ayub Khan fought in World War II as a colonel in the British Indian Army before deciding to transfer to the Pakistan Army in the aftermath of the partition of India in 1947. His assignments included command of the 14th Division in East-Bengal. Ayub Bachchu (; 16 August 1962 – 18 October 2018) was a Bangladeshi rock guitarist, composer, singer and songwriter, who was the founder of the Bangladeshi rock band LRB and earned success as the lead singer and the lead guitarist of the band. He is considered as one of the greatest singers of all time in Bangladesh. He was one of the pioneers of Bangladeshi pop music. ''reserve'' in Potwari), is a national park located on the Grand Trunk Road, not far away from the old presidency in Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan. The park was established before the creation of Pakistan and covers an area of . It was named after the former President of Pakistan Field Marshal Ayub Khan. It is the largest park in the Islamabad–Rawalpindi metropolitan area, and is claimed to be one of the largest in Asia. Mohammad Ayub Khan ( ur, ), better known as Master Ayub, is a Pakistani educator, philanthropist and civil servant who is known for spending his after-job hours and weekends teaching students in an open-air school in F-6 sector, Islamabad. Master Ayub has received the Pride of Performance award for his efforts over the decades. Personal life Ayub, originally belonging to Mandi Bahauddin, is a firefighter with the fire brigade. He has been in Islamabad for 38 years. Ayub started his open air, free of cost school when he moved to Islamabad for the job at fire brigade. Ayub Ommaya
Ayub Khan Ommaya MD, ScD (hc), FRCS, FACS (1930 - 2008) was a Pakistani American neurosurgeon and the inventor of the Ommaya reservoir. The reservoir is used to provide chemotherapy directly to the tumor site for brain tumors. Ommaya was also a leading expert in traumatic brain injuries. Ommaya published over 150 articles, chapters, and books. His research focused on cancer treatment, traumatic brain injury, a CSF artificial organ, and philosophy of mind. Through discussions with Congressman William Lehman Chair of the House Appropriations Committee responsible for the Department of Transportation, he developed CDC's National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, which as part of its mission focuses on traumatic brain injury. He is considered to be the primary founder of the widespread drug trade (particularly heroin) in Afghanistan. Muhammad Ayyub Thakur (1948 – 10 March 2004) was a political activist and founder of London-based World Kashmir Freedom Movement (WKFM). Ayub Shah Durrani
Ayub Shah Durrani ( Dari/ Pashto: ), also known as Ayub Shah Abdali, son of Timur Shah Durrani, ruled Afghanistan from 1819 to 1823. He was an Afghan from the Pashtun ethnic group. He was the second oldest son of Timur Shah. He killed his brother Ali Shah for the throne. He only ruled four years, holding off his own brothers and the Barakzai and Indian tribes from nearby.
