Ayngaran International is a film distribution and production company, based in the United Kingdom. Historically, Tamil films from India have been distributed to overseas theaters and for home media consumption by Ayngaran. The chairman of the company is Mr.Karunamoorthy who is based out of London and he is one of the pioneers in this field who took Tamil cinema to the worldwide audience. It also operates a chain of retail video stores located in the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Malaysia, and Singapore. As of 2008, the company debuted as an independent film studio, opening offices in India. Its first production was ''Karuppu Roja'' (1996). ''Nandalala'' is a 2010 Indian Tamil-language independent drama film written and directed by Mysskin. He himself plays the lead role, alongside newcomer Ashwath Ram and Snigdha Akolkar. The film, which is produced by Ayngaran International and features a highly acclaimed musical score by Ilaiyaraaja, is based on the 1999 Japanese film ''Kikujiro'', and partly inspired from Mysskin's life.
