Allen Bristol Aylesworth
Sir Allen Bristol Aylesworth, (27 November 1854 – 13 February 1952) was a Canadian lawyer and parliamentarian. Life and career Born in Newburgh, Canada West, of United Empire Loyalist ancestry, Aylesworth was educated at the University of Toronto, and called to the Ontario Bar in 1878. As the Canadian member of the Alaska Boundary Tribunal in 1903, he presented his country's views in a minority report. Elected to the Dominion parliament in 1905, he served in the cabinet of Sir Wilfrid Laurier as postmaster-general and minister of labour, 1905–1906, and minister of justice, 1906–1911, in which capacity he oversaw the pardon of Angelina Napolitano, Canada's first battered woman defence case. He acted as British representative at the North Atlantic Fisheries Arbitration in The Hague, 1910–1911, and was knighted for his services. Arthur Aylesworth
Arthur Preston Aylesworth (August 12, 1883 – June 26, 1946) was an American stage and film actor. Early years Aylesworth was born in Apponaug, Rhode Island, to a military family; his father and his grandfather graduated from the United States Military Academy. Aylesworth himself attended the academy for two years. Career Aylesworth's Broadway debut came in ''Over Night'' (1911). His other Broadway appearances included the musical ''Follow Thru'' (1929), and his last show there was ''Yankee Point'' (1942). He was on the stage for over a quarter of a century and acted in many productions. In the 1930s, he became a contract player at Warner Brothers working in character actors, often uncredited. Aylesworth played in over 130 films almost exclusively from the early 1930s onwards. His grave is located at Chapel of the Pines Crematory in Los Angeles. John Bansley Aylesworth (August 18, 1928 – July 28, 2010) was a Canadian television writer, producer, comedian, and actor, best known as co-creator of the American country music television variety show ''Hee Haw'', which appeared on network television for two years and then ran for decades in first-run syndication. Michael Jerome Aylesworth (born March 24, 1943) is an American politician who is a current member of the Indiana House of Representatives. A member of the Republican Party, Aylesworth was elected to the Indiana House on November 4, 2014 and was subsequently sworn in on November 19 of that year. Elected to represent the 11th district, Aylesworth's district represents southern Lake and Porter County. Wilbert Ross Aylesworth (14 July 1892 – February 5, 1973) was a Canadian politician, farmer and merchant. He was elected in 1940 as a Member of the National Government to the House of Commons of Canada to represent the riding of Frontenac—Addington. He was re-elected to the same riding in 1945 and 1949 as a Member of the Progressive Conservative. He lost when he ran in 1953 for the riding of Kingston.
