Ayesha Imam
Ayesha Imam is a Nigerian born human rights Activism, activist. She is a former Chief of the Culture, Gender and Human Rights department of the United Nations Population Fund and a founding member and pioneer national coordinating secretary of Women in Nigeria (organization), Women in Nigeria. She late became the coordinator of a BAOBAB for Women's Human Rights, a human rights advocacy group. From April 2017 to March 2023, she served as Chair of the Board of Directors of Greenpeace International. Imam was involved in the successful appeal to overturn, Amina Lawal's death conviction. Life Imam earned a sociology bachelor's degree from Polytechnic of North London in 1980 and a master's from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in 1983. She completed her doctorate at University of Sussex. Polytechnic Of North London
The University of North London (UNL) was a university in London, England, formed from the Polytechnic of North London (PNL) in 1992 when that institution was granted university status. PNL, in turn, had been formed by the amalgamation of the Northern Polytechnic and North-Western Polytechnic in 1971. In 1996, the university celebrated its centenary, dating from the year of the Northern Polytechnic's founding. UNL existed until 2002, when it merged with London Guildhall University to form London Metropolitan University. Its former premises now form the University's north campus, on Holloway Road and Highbury Grove, London Borough of Islington, Islington.
