Ayan Bhattacharjee
Ayan Pijush Bhattacharjee (born 17 July 1991) is an Indian cricketer who played for Bengal from 2016/17 to 2019/20. Born in Kalighat, West Bengal, he is a right arm seam bowler of medium pace and a left-handed batter. Ayan made his first-class debut in the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy on 20 October 2016. Kalighat is a locality of Kolkata, in Kolkata district, West Bengal, India. The Bengal cricket team represents the Indian state of West Bengal in domestic first-class cricket. It is considered Eastern India's strongest cricket team. The team plays its home matches at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Bengal has won two Ranji Trophy victories and has been runner-up a total of 12 times. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. 2016–17 Ranji Trophy
The 2016–17 Ranji Trophy was the 83rd season of the Ranji Trophy, the premier first-class cricket tournament in India. Unlike previous seasons, the 2016–17 tournament was played at neutral venues. Captains and coaches were supportive of the change. Chhattisgarh cricket team made their debut in the competition, becoming the 28th team to compete in this edition of the Ranji Trophy. Twenty20
Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. Together with first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three current forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being at the highest international or domestic level. 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy was the eleventh edition of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, a Twenty20 competition in India. It took place between 21 February and 14 March 2019.
