Ayaka Kikuchi (speed Skater)
is a Japanese speed skater. Biography Kikuchi won bronze at the 2011 Asian Speed Skating Championships and silver at the 2012 Asian Speed Skating Championships. With these results she qualified for the World Allround Speed Skating Championships in both 2011 (finished 22nd) and 2012 (finished 19th). In the 2014 Winter Olympics Kikuchi participated in the 1500 meters, finishing 31st, and was part of the women's team pursuit, who finished fourth. In 2015 Ayaka Kikuchi became a world champion, when in the 2015 World Single Distance Speed Skating Championships she won the gold medal in the team pursuit where she participated together with the sisters Miho and Nana Takagi. Miho Takagi (speed Skater)
is a Japanese speed skater. She has won a total of seven medals at the Olympics, two of them gold. Career At the age of 15, Takagi represented Japan at the 2010 Winter Olympics, finishing 35th in the women's 1000 metres and 23rd in the 1500 metres. In 2012 and 2013, she won the World Junior Speed Skating Championships. After participating in several world cup and world championship events, she became a world champion when in the 2015 World Single Distance Championships she won the gold medal in the team pursuit where she participated together with her sister Nana Takagi and compatriot Ayaka Kikuchi. In competition in Salt Lake City of 2017–18 ISU Speed Skating World Cup, she with Nana & Ayano Sato won women's team pursuit with the world record of 2 minutes & 50.87 seconds. Medals Of Honor (Japan)
are medals awarded by the Government of Japan. They are awarded to individuals who have done meritorious deeds and also to those who have achieved excellence in their field of work. The Medals of Honor were established on December 7, 1881, and were first awarded the following year. Several expansions and amendments have been made since then. The medal design for all six types are the same, bearing the stylized characters on a gilt central disc surrounded by a silver ring of cherry blossoms on the obverse; only the colors of the ribbon differ. If for some reason an individual were to receive a second medal of the same ribbon colour, then a second medal is not issued but rather a new bar is added to their current medal. The Utah Olympic Oval is an indoor speed skating oval located southwest of Salt Lake City, in Kearns, Utah. The Oval was built for the 2002 Winter Olympics and it hosted the long track speed skating events for the 2002 games.
