Axel Villanueva
Axel Mathias Villanueva Sandoval (born August 10, 1989) is a Nicaraguan footballer who currently plays midfield for Deportivo Walter Ferretti in the Primera División de Nicaragua. Club career Villanueva started his career with Walter Ferretti. He joined Panamanian side Tauro for the 2014 Clausura and signed a one-year contract despite Ferreti wanting just a loan deal. International career Villanueva made his debut for Nicaragua in a September 2010 friendly match against Guatemala and has, as of January 2014, earned a total of 15 caps, scoring 2 goals. 2013 Copa Centroamericana
The 2013 Copa Centroamericana was the 12th Copa Centroamericana, the regional championship for men's national association football teams in Central America. It was organized by the ''Unión Centroamericana de Fútbol'' or UNCAF, and took place in Costa Rica from 18 January to 27 January 2013. The top five teams go on to participate in the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup. The tournament consisted of two stages. In the group stage of the tournament finals, the seven teams competed for points in two round-robin groups, one of four teams and the other of three, with the top two teams in each group proceeding. These four teams advanced to the semi-final stage, with the winners advancing to the final, while the losers contested a third-place match. Dennis Martínez National Stadium
Estadio Nacional Soberanía ( es, Estadio Nacional Soberanía, links=no) is located in Managua, Nicaragua. It has a capacity of 15,000 and it was named after former MLB player Dennis Martínez. The original stadium was built in 1948 and is Nicaragua's national stadium. It is used mainly for baseball but also serves as a venue for concerts, boxing, football, religious events and had a capacity of 30,100 people. It is the home stadium of Indios del Bóer baseball team and Deportivo Walter Ferretti football team. Inside the stadium is a hall of fame near the entrance showing medals, cups, photos and memories of Nicaraguan players. There is also a gym located inside.
