Axel Roos
Axel Roos (born 19 August 1964) is a German football coach and a former player. Born in Rodalben, Roos started his professional career in 1984 when he first signed a contract for the Bundesliga-Team 1. FC Kaiserslautern. He went on to win the Bundesliga in 1991 and 1998, the DFB-Pokal in 1990 and 1996, as well as the Supercup in 1991. Roos was loyal to his team throughout his entire professional career. From 2003 to 2006 Ross was assistant coach to Hans-Peter Briegel at the Albania national team. Since 2007 he runs a football school. Honours 1. Rodalben
Rodalben () is a municipality in the Südwestpfalz district, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated in the Palatinate forest, approx. 5 km northeast of Pirmasens. Rodalben is the seat of the ''Verbandsgemeinde'' ("collective municipality") Rodalben. Having a population above 7000 it is the largest local authority district. History Rodalben was founded by a Celtic tribe. In 1237 Rodalben was first mentioned as a "Meyerhof". Over the centuries mainly farmers lived there. The origin of the name isn't clarified. The suffix "alb (alben)" is a Celtic word for rivers or brooks. Modern era Before the Thirty Years' War 150 people lived in the ''Amt'' of Gräfenstein. by 1680, around 30 years after the war, the ''Amt'' had 30 families or inhabitants. Around 50 years later, in 1698, there were 50, of which 20 lived in Rodalben. The 1991 DFB-Supercup was the fifth edition of the DFB-Supercup. Uniquely, because Germany had just been reunified, the competition featured four teams instead of the usual two: The previous season's Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal winners, 1. FC Kaiserslautern and Werder Bremen, respectively, were joined by their counterparts from the East. Hansa Rostock had won both the NOFV-Oberliga and the NOFV-Pokal, so the losing cup finalists, Stahl Eisenhüttenstadt, took the fourth place in the competition. Both Western teams advanced to the final, with Kaiserslautern defeating Werder Bremen 3–1 in the final in Hanover.
