Axel Matus
Axel Matus (born 17 June 1998 in Guadalajara) is a Mexican racing driver backed by Escuderia Telmex. Career Karting Matus first began karting in 2002, at the age of four. From 2007 onwards, he competed in major karting championships across Mexico and the United States. Lower Formulae In 2014, Matus made his debut in French F4, finishing twenty first in his debut season. He returned the following year, claimed his maiden victory and finished seventh overall. The FFSA Academy (formerly known as La Filière, Volant Elf and Auto Sport Academy) was created in 1993 by Elf Aquitaine to promote French drivers at the highest level, in line with its marketing approach and its commitment to Renault in F1. The 2018 Formula Renault Northern European Cup was the thirteenth and the final Formula Renault Northern European Cup season, an open-wheel motor racing series. It was a multi-event motor racing championship that featured drivers competing in 2 litre Formula Renault single seat race cars that conform to the technical regulations for the championship. The championship title was won by German driver Doureid Ghattas, after recording five consecutive win. He won races at Hungaroring, Nürburgring and Hockenheim, finished 42 points clear of his closest rival and Anders Motorsport teammate, Phil Hill, who was the winner at Spa and Hockenheim.
