Axel Hervelle
Axel Marie Gustave Hervelle (born 12 May 1983) is a Belgian former professional basketball player. He represented the senior Belgian national basketball team. Professional career Hervelle spent the early part of his career in Belgium. He first played with Verviers-Pepinster in the Belgian League for four years, averaging 11.4 points and 10.6 rebounds per game, in 16 Belgian League games during the 2003–04 season, and becoming the team's captain at only 20 years old. He then signed with the Spanish ACB League club Real Madrid. In the 200506 season, he averaged 24 minutes, 8.5 points, and 5.5 rebounds per game, over 32 games played in the Spanish League. In January 2010, Hervelle signed with Bilbao. On 3 August 2018, Hervelle signed a one-year contract with Spirou of the Belgian League. On 30 November 2020, Hervelle announced his retirement. 2005 NBA Draft
The 2005 NBA draft took place on June 28, 2005, in the Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York City. In this draft, NBA teams took turns selecting amateur college basketball players and other first-time eligible players, such as players from high schools and non-North American leagues. The NBA announced that 49 college and high school players and 11 international players had filed as early-entry candidates for the draft. This was the last NBA draft for which high school players were eligible. The new collective bargaining agreement between the league and its players union established a new age limit for draft eligibility. The Pro Basketball League (PBL), was the highest tier level professional basketball league in Belgium for clubs. In 2021, the league was succeeded by the Belgian-Dutch BNXT League. The Greece men's national basketball team ( el, Eθνική Oμάδα Καλαθοσφαίρισης Ελλάδος) represents Greece in international basketball. They are controlled by the Hellenic Basketball Federation, the governing body for basketball in Greece. Greece is currently ranked ninth in the FIBA World Rankings. EuroBasket 2015 was the 39th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe. It was co-hosted by Croatia, France, Germany, and Latvia, making it the first EuroBasket held in more than one country. It started on 5 September and ended on 20 September 2015. James William White IV (born October 21, 1982) is an American professional basketball player and coach. White is well known for his athleticism and ability to dunk. Since high school, his most famous dunk has been the between-the-legs dunk, with many variations. He is also known for his ability to jump from the free throw line and dunk a basketball with both hands. 'Flight' White was a runner-up in two notable dunk contests: behind future University of Florida and Golden State Warriors power forward David Lee in the 2001 McDonald's High School Slam Dunk Contest, and behind North Carolina's David Noel in the NCAA College Slam Dunk Contest during the 2006 Final Four weekend.
