Axel Cruysberghs
Axel Cruysberghs (born October 12, 1994) is a Belgian professional street skateboarder. In 2015, Cruysberghs made his debut at the X Games in Austin, Texas. He made his first appearance at the X Games in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 2018. Cruysberghs represented Belgium in the rescheduled 2020 Summer Olympics, in Tokyo, Japan. He finished 13th in the semifinal round in Tokyo for street skating and did not make the finals. In October 2020, Cruysberghs married Finnish-American professional skateboarder Lizzie Armanto. Poperinge (; french: Poperinghe, ； vls, Poperienge) is a city and municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders, Flemish Region, and has a history going back to medieval times. The municipality comprises the town of Poperinge proper and surrounding villages. The area is famous for its hops and lace. The 2020 Summer Olympics men's street skateboarding competition occurred on 25 July 2021 at Ariake Urban Sports Park in Tokyo, Japan. It was originally scheduled to be held in 2020, but on 24 March 2020, the Olympics were postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Yuto Horigome (skateboarder), Yuto Horigome of Japan won the gold medal, with Kelvin Hoefler of Brazil and Jagger Eaton of the United States winning the silver and bronze medals. Lizzie Armanto
Elizabeth Marika Armanto (born January 26, 1993) is an American-Finnish professional skateboarder. Early life and career Armanto was born to a Finnish father and an American mother. She holds dual citizenship in the United States and Finland. She is of Filipino descent through her maternal grandfather. Armanto grew up in Santa Monica, California. She started skating in 2007 with her younger brother and developed a love for skating bowls and vert. Armanto has won over 30 skateboarding awards. In 2010, 2011 and 2012, she placed first overall in the World Cup of Skateboarding points race. In 2013, Armanto won gold at the first ever Women's Skateboard Park event at X Games in Barcelona, Spain. She won the 2014 Van Doren Invitational in Huntington Beach, California.
