Axel Collett
Axel Collett (6 August 1880 in Kolvereid – 17 January 1968) was a Norwegian landowner, timber merchant and sawmill owner. He was a co-owner and actively involved in the management of Firma Albert Collett, a firm established by his father, which was and is one of the largest private land owners of Norway. The company owned of land in Namdalen, and built Salsbruket Tresliperi, a sawmill, of which he also served as director. A member of the English-origined Collett family, he was the son of land-owner Albert Collett, the grandson of land-owner John Collett of Buskerud Manor and the great-grandson of Supreme Court Justice and land-owner Peter Collett. Oscar Collett
Oscar Collett (9 December 1877 – 1950) was a Norwegian landowner and benefactor. He was born in Trondhjem as a son of landowner Albert Peter Severin Collett (1842–1896) and Nanna Høegh (1854–1921). He was a brother of physician Arthur Collett and chemist Emil Collett. He was a forester by education, and spent his career as an executive of the family-owned forest estate company Firma Albert Collett together with his brothers Johan and Axel. The company still operates hundreds of square miles of forest in Namdalen, as well as several hydroelectric power stations. Collett became a member of the gentlemen's skiing club SK Fram in 1890, the club's second year of existence. From 1935 he served as a supervisory council member of the insurance company Forsikringsselskapet Viking, together with many acquaintances from Fram. Brita Lucie Collett Paus (3 July 1917 Salsbruket, Norway – 28 June 1998, Oslo, Norway) was a Norwegian humanitarian leader and the founder of Fransiskushjelpen, a Catholic charitable organisation in Norway. She led the organisation from 1956 until 1993. She converted to Catholicism from Lutheranism in 1950, and served as chair of the Laity Council of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Oslo, as board member of Caritas in Norway from 1965 and member of governmental committees. She was married to orthopedic surgeon Bernhard Paus, the Grand Master of the Norwegian Order of Freemasons. Their daughter Lucie Paus Falck became a politician. Haagen Krog Steffens
Haagen Krog Steffens (30 April 1873 – 9 May 1917) was a Norwegian historian, archivist and genealogist. Haagen Krog Steffens was born in Christiania (now Oslo), Norway. He was the son of physician Henrich Steffens (1841-1984) and Asta Falch. Steffens belonged to a family originating in Holstein. Both his father and grandfather were doctors and his family fostered a number of prominent individuals. Steffens attended Christiania Cathedral School (now Oslo Cathedral School). Steffens graduated with a Candidate of Law degree in 1897. Later he undertook a series of studies at archives in Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Belgium. Johan Collett (22 November 1874 – 2 June 1969) was a Norwegian businessperson. Personal life He was born in Trondhjem as a son of Albert Peter Severin Collett (1842–1896) and Nanna Høegh (1854–1921). He was a brother of physician Arthur Collett and chemist Emil Collett. He married three times. First to ship-owner's daughter Ellen Eger from 1903, but the marriage was dissolved. His second wife was director's daughter Kathleen Ragnhild Falsen, after dissolving this marriage as well he married Rosa Louise Martens in 1943. Falsen went on to marry Erling Steen. Career He graduated from Kristiania Commerce School in 1893, and took further commercial education in England and France. Kolvereid
Kolvereid is a town in the municipality of Nærøysund in Trøndelag county, Norway. The town of Kolvereid is located at the west end of the Kolvereidvågen bay, off of the inner part of the Foldafjord. The Norwegian County Road 770 runs through the town, connecting it to Rørvik to the west and Foldereid to the east. The town was the administrative centre of the old Nærøy Municipality until 2020 when it was merged into Nærøysund Municipality.
