Avonmore is a residential neighbourhood in south east Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It was named after Algernon William Yelverton, 6th Viscount Avonmore, a priest from Ireland. It is in the shape of an irregular quadrilateral bounded on the south east by Argyll Road, on the south west by Mill Creek Ravine, on the north by 76 Avenue and on the east by 75 Street. It is surrounded by a mixture of residential neighbourhoods and industrial subdivisions. To the north is the residential subdivision of King Edward Park. To the east and south east are the industrial subdivisions of Girard Industrial and Coronet Addition Industrial. Separated from Avonmore by the Mill Creek Ravine are the residential neighbourhoods of Argyll, Hazeldean and Ritchie. River Avonmore
The Avonmore River (), also known as ''Abhainn Dé'' (also spelt ''Abhainn Dea''), flows from Lough Dan in the Wicklow Mountains west of Roundwood. It flows in a generally southerly direction for approximately before joining the Avonbeg at the Meeting of the Waters (''Cumar an dá Uisce'') to form the River Avoca, which in turn discharges into the Irish Sea at Arklow. From source to sea the river remains in East Wicklow. Downstream from Lough Dan the Avonmore reaches the village of Annamoe where it is crossed by the R755 regional road. From there is descends to Laragh and down through a heavily wooded valley to Rathdrum. ''Avonmore'' is the fifteenth studio album by English singer Bryan Ferry, released on 17 November 2014 by BMG Rights Management. Background The album was named after the location of Ferry's studio in London where it was recorded. The album was announced on 23 September 2014 with a preview of the song "Loop De Li". The album was produced by Ferry with long-term collaborator Rhett Davies, who has produced several albums for Ferry and Roxy Music. A windjammer is a commercial sailing ship with multiple masts that may be square rigged, or fore-and-aft rigged, or a combination of the two. The informal term "windjammer" arose during the transition from the Age of Sail to the Age of Steam during the 19th century. The Oxford English Dictionary records the word "windjamming" from 1886 and "windjammer" with reference to a ship from 1892.
