Anthony Eden
Robert Anthony Eden, 1st Earl of Avon, (12 June 1897 – 14 January 1977) was a British Conservative Party politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1955 until his resignation in 1957. Achieving rapid promotion as a young Conservative member of Parliament, he became foreign secretary aged 38, before resigning in protest at Neville Chamberlain's appeasement policy towards Mussolini's Fascist regime in Italy. He again held that position for most of the Second World War, and a third time in the early 1950s. Having been deputy to Winston Churchill for almost 15 years, Eden succeeded him as the leader of the Conservative Party and prime minister in 1955, and a month later won a general election. Avon Buses
Avon Buses was a bus operator based in Prenton providing services in Merseyside and Cheshire, England. History Avon Minis, as the company was originally known, was founded in August 1981 by Larry Smith. By 1995 it had six buses and ran mostly school contracts plus one local route. The newest buses were two Leyland Titans. The company expanded with services starting in Crosby, Fazakerley and a former outstation in Bootle. The business was renamed Avon Buses in 2004/05. Avon Buses took over former Arriva North West routes 421 and 422, renumbering them to 22 and 22A. Avon then decided to renumber service 22A to 24 so it would not be confused with Helms Coaches service 23. They also took over five other groups of routes at the same time. Avon, Seine-et-Marne
Avon () is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. Geography Avon and Fontainebleau, together with three other smaller communes, form an urban area of 36,713 inhabitants. The two towns share a common boundary, whereas other miscellaneous smaller villages are scattered around in the forest that surrounds them (one of the largest in France). Avon is built between two hills; one of them, known as the Butte Montceau, supports the homonymous neighbourhood, made of small blocks and houses; on the opposite one is built the Fougères neighbourhood, consisting of larger buildings. The rest of the town consists mainly of small houses, in the neighbourhoods of La Vallée and Vieil Avon. Avon-la-Pèze () is a commune in the Aube department in the Grand Est region of north-central France. The inhabitants of the commune are known as ''Avonnais'' or ''Avonnaises''. Geography Avon-la-Pèze is located some 30 km north-west of Troyes and 17 km south by south-west of Romilly-sur-Seine. Access to the commune is by road D440 from Rigny-la-Nonneuse in the north which passes through the centre of the commune and the village before continuing south to Marcilly-le-Hayer. The D23 comes from Avant-les-Marcilly in the north-west passing west through the commune and the village and continuing to Saint-Lupien in the south-east. The D16 branches off the D23 east of the village and goes north-east to Marigny-le-Châtel. There is the hamlet of La Pezé to the north of the village.
