Aventuras De Kirlian
Aventuras de Kirlian was a Spanish indie rock band in the 1980s. Although they experienced only moderate commercial success, they achieved a significant cult following in the Basque country, and their music has been a major influence on many Spanish bands of the 1990s. The band dissolved in 1989 and the members teamed up with drummer Gorka Ochoa to form a new group under the name of Le Mans. Commencement The core of the band was formed by Ibon Errazkin and Teresa Iturrioz, who began to jam together in the summer of 1985, both initially playing bass guitar. In February 1986, Jone Gabarain and Peru Izeta came on board and together they formed the group under the name ''Aventuras de Kirlian''. A cult following refers to a group of fans who are highly dedicated to some person, idea, object, movement, or work, often an artist, in particular a performing artist, or an artwork in some medium. Guitar
The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. It is usually held flat against the player's body and played by strumming or plucking the strings with the dominant hand, while simultaneously pressing selected strings against frets with the fingers of the opposite hand. Jam Session
A jam session is a relatively informal musical event, process, or activity where musicians, typically instrumentalists, play improvised solos and vamp over tunes, drones, songs, and chord progressions. To "jam" is to improvise music without extensive preparation or predefined arrangements, except for when the group is playing well-known jazz standards or covers of existing popular songs. Le Mans (band)
Le Mans was an indie rock band from the Basque country, Spain, in existence between 1993 and 1998. Having previously toured and released records under the name Aventuras de Kirlian, the group took a new direction as they hired a new member, Gorka Ochoa, to play the drums. Together with La Buena Vida it was one of the main exponents of "Donosti Sound", a style similar to twee pop. In 2000 the Argentine band Suárez recorded the EP ''29:09:00'', consisting of 5 cover versions of ''Le Mans'' songs.
