Loving (TV Series)
''Loving'' is an American television soap opera that ran on ABC from June 26, 1983, to November 10, 1995, for a total of 3,169 episodes. The serial, set in the fictional town of Corinth, Pennsylvania, was co-created by Agnes Nixon and former actor Douglas Marland. ''Loving'' premiered on June 26, 1983 with a two-hour primetime movie and, on the next day, debuted as a half-hour weekday soap opera. On July 4, 1995, ABC officially canceled ''Loving'' due to low ratings, and its final episode aired on November 10, 1995. On November 13, 1995, the following Monday, ABC replaced ''Loving'' with its spin-off '' The City'', which ran until March 28, 1997. Jessica Collins (born Jessica Lynn Capogna; April 1, 1971) is an American actress. She is best known for portraying Dinah Lee Mayberry on the ABC soap opera '' Loving'' (1991–1994) and Avery Bailey Clark on the CBS soap opera ''The Young and the Restless'' (2011–2015), for which she won a Daytime Emmy. She also starred as Meredith Davies on Fox's ''Tru Calling'', and appeared in recurring and guest roles in many other shows. Early life Collins was born in Schenectady, New York. Alice Haining
Alice Haining (born October 8, 1957) is an American actress. Early years Born in Jackson, Mississippi, Haining is the daughter of Dr. Joe L. Haining and Jean Haining. Her father was a research chemist, and her mother was a teacher. Haining was valedictorian of her class at Woodland Hills Academy and at Mississippi College. She graduated from the latter in 1981 with majors in English and modern languages. Career Before she became active on stage in New York City, Haining produced ''Figure Out'', a children's program, for Mississippi Educational Television. Haining's career was largely in daytime soaps, beginning in 1982 when she played Jodie Fields on ''Search for Tomorrow''. Larry Haines (born Larry Hecht; August 3, 1918 – July 17, 2008) was an American actor. Early years Haines was born on August 3, 1918 in Mount Vernon, New York. (Some sources say August 18, 1918, in the same city). He had been active in dramatics in high school, and while he was in college, he was advised to try acting. After a few months of instruction in dramatics, he passed an audition with CBS. He dropped out during his sophomore year of college and "went right into radio working on little stations all around New York City," beginning at WWRL. Radio Haines first became known in the 1930s as an actor on the radio crime series ''Gangbusters''. Meta Golding is a Haitian-American actress. Life and career Golding was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Her parents were international aid workers and she was raised in several countries. Besides the United States, Golding also lived in India, Haiti, France and Italy. She began her career as a teen model in the 1980s and subsequently appeared in a student short film by Brett Ratner, with whom she had an extensive relationship. John Gabriel (born Jack Monkarsh; May 25, 1931 – June 11, 2021) was an American actor, singer-lyricist, and producer who is best known for his role as Seneca Beaulac on ''Ryan's Hope'' (1975–1985, 1988–1989), for which he received an Emmy Award nomination in 1980.
