The Autódromo Municipal Juan Manuel Fangio is a motor sports racing circuit located in Rosario, Santa Fe, Rosario in the Santa Fe Province of Argentina. It has hosted national touring car races such as the Turismo Carretera, TC2000 and Top Race V6, as well as the World RX of Argentina in 2015 and 2016. The circuit is named after the fifth Formula One world champions, Juan Manuel Fangio (1911–1995). The TC2000 (''Turismo Competición 2000'', formerly ''Súper TC2000'') is a touring car racing series held in Argentina since 1979. Rules Prior to 2012, engines of up to were allowed, with only limited modifications from standard engines. This was both to reduce running costs, and give a level playing field to every team. Variable valve timing, variable intake geometry, anti-lock braking systems and traction control are all forbidden. From the 2012 season, Radical Performance Engines will provide RPE TCX V8 engines (a front-wheel-drive variant of the RPX, originally found in the Radical SR8), capable of producing , in place of the previous engines. The 2023 TCR South America Touring Car Championship was the third season of TCR South America Touring Car Championship. TCR Touring Car
A TCR Touring Car is a touring car specification, first introduced in 2014 and is now employed by a multitude of series worldwide. All TCR Touring Cars are front-wheel drive cars based on 4 or 5 door production vehicles, and are powered by 1.75 to 2.0 litre turbocharged engines. While the bodyshell and suspension layout of the production vehicle is retained in a TCR car, and many models use a production gearbox, certain accommodations are made for the stresses of the racetrack including upgraded brakes and aerodynamics.
