Automobile Club De Monaco
The Automobile Club de Monaco is a motoring club based in Monaco. The club serves as the governing body for motorsport within Monaco, and organises the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix and Monte Carlo Rally. It is a member of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, representing Monaco as a mobility and sporting club. Founded in 1890 as an association of cyclists, the ''Sport Vélocipédique Monégasque'', the club began to incorporate motorists in 1907 and was renamed the ''Sport Vélocipédique et Automobile Monégasque''. Alexandre Noghès, the SVAM's president, started planning the principality's first international motorsport event, the Monte Carlo Rally, at the behest of Albert I, Prince of Monaco. Michel Boeri
Michel Boeri is the current president of the FIA's Senate and a vice-president of the World Motor Sport Council. He is also the president of the Automobile Club de Monaco and has held political places in Monaco's government. At one time he was expected to succeed Jean-Marie Balestre as president of the FIA, but Max Mosley got the post instead. On 24 June 2009, when the Formula One Teams Association and the FIA did a deal to solve their differences about the F1 championship, Michel Boeri replaced Max Mosley in his capacity relation with F1, a rumor that was later denied by Max Mosley. The European Drivers' Championship was an annual competition in auto racing that existed prior to the establishment of the Formula One world championship in 1950. Junior Monaco Kart Cup
The Junior Monaco Kart Cup was a kart racing event ruled by the CIK-FIA and organized by the Automobile Club de Monaco, it took place each year in Monaco. The event see young drivers compete with KF3 OK-Junior is a kart racing class for top drivers aged 11 to 15 (drivers must reach the age of 12 within the first semester of calendar year). Monaco EPrix
The Monaco ePrix is a recurring automobile race of the Formula E World Championship which takes place in Monte Carlo, Monaco. Circuit On 18 September 2014 it was announced that Formula E would be racing on a shorter version of the original Monaco Grand Prix circuit for the 2014–15 season. This version misses out the hill, Casino square, the iconic hairpin, the famous tunnel and the chicane. However, in the 2020–21 season, the ePrix will be held on the traditional full-length Monaco circuit. Classic rallying, or historic rallying, is a type of road rally suitable for most standard classic cars, with no special equipment needed (the equipment allowed depends on the particular rally). Circuit de Monaco is a street circuit laid out on the city streets of Monte Carlo and La Condamine around the harbour of the Principality of Monaco. 1929 Monaco Grand Prix
The 1929 Monaco Grand Prix was the first Grand Prix to be run in the Principality. It was set up by wealthy cigarette manufacturer, Antony Noghès, who had set up the Automobile Club de Monaco with some of his friends. This offer of a Grand Prix was supported by Prince Louis II, and the Monégasque driver of that time, Louis Chiron.
