''Auteuring Nollywood: Critical Perspectives on The Figurine'' is a book released on 31 July 2014, detailing the scholarly analysis of events in the 2009 film ''The Figurine'' directed by Kunle Afolayan. The book is the first book in the history of Nigerian Cinema to be devoted to the work of a single Nigerian film director and it contains scholarly essays, which explores "the thematic focus and cinematic style employed in ''The Figurine''". It also contains interviews with the cast and crew of the film and insights into the African and Nigerian film industry. Since its release, the book has been getting rave reviews from critics, educators and film scholars. Akin Adesokan is a Nigerian writer, scholar and novelist with research interests into twentieth and twenty-first century African and African American/African Diaspora literature and cultures. He is currently the associate professor of comparative literature at Indiana University Bloomington. He exerts influence on Nigerian cultural environment through commentary, advocacy, and writing. The Pan-African University (or Pan African University) (PAU) is a post-graduate training and research network of university nodes in five regions, supported by the African Union and the Association of African Universities. Formation The first African Ministerial Conference on Science and Technology was held in 2003 in Johannesburg, South Africa with the aim of improving the quality of science and technology education and thereby the productivity of African economies. Kofi Adu (born May 25, 1969),is originally from the Ashanti Region of Ghana but lived in a suburb in Accra Newtown called Asantewaa, also known as Agya Koo, is an actor and comedian from Ghana. He has appeared in over 200 Ghanaian movies including ''Obaatanpa'', ''Away Bus'', ''Black Star'', and ''Ma Tricki Wo''.
