The Austrian Judo Federation (german: Österreichischer Judoverband - ''ÖJV'') is the national organisation for judo in Austria. The president is POIGER Martin. Michaela Polleres
Michaela Polleres (born 15 July 1997) is an Austrian judoka. In 2021, she won the silver medal in the women's 70 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She is also a bronze medalist at the 2021 World Judo Championships and the 2018 European Judo Championships. She is a third degree black belt. Career Polleres won one of the bronze medals in the girls' 63 kg event at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics held in Nanjing, China. She also competed in the mixed team event. Polleres competed in the women's 70 kg event at the 2017 European Judo Championships held in Warsaw, Poland. She was eliminated in her second match by Sanne van Dijke of the Netherlands. Shamil Borchashvili
Shamil Borchashvili (born 9 June 1995) is an Austrian judoka. He immigrated to Wels, Austria with his family from Chechnya, Russia when he was a child. Borchashvili won the silver medal at the 2021 Judo Grand Slam Tbilisi in the -81 kg class. Borchashvili won the bronze medal in the men's 81kg Judo competition in the postponed 2020 Summer Olympics held in 2021 in Tokyo. Claudia Heill (24 January 1982 – 31 March 2011) was an Austrian judoka best known for winning the silver medal in the half-middleweight (63 kg) division at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Biography In addition to her success at the 2004 Summer Olympics, Heill won silver medals at the European championship in 2001 and 2005 and bronze medals in 2002, 2003 and 2007. She placed fifth at the 2008 Summer Olympics and retired one year later. After retiring from competition, she began coaching junior judoka. Heill in 1998 aged 16 won the -63 kg category at the Senior Austrian National Championships. Later that same year Heill won silver at the Junior World Championships (Cali) where she lost to the Japanese Maeda Keiko. Peter Seisenbacher (born 25 March 1960) is a judo coach and retired judoka from Austria. Judo career He competed in the middleweight category (−86 kg) at the 1980, 1984 and 1988 Olympics and won two gold medals, in 1984 and 1988. He also won a world title in 1985 and European title in 1986. After retiring from competitions, Seisenbacher worked as a judo coach, in Austria, Georgia (2010–2012), and Azerbaijan (2012–2013). Under his guidance, the Georgian team won 2 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze medals at European championships, one bronze medal at world championships, and an Olympic gold medal in 2012.
