Australian Performing Arts Grammar School
The Australian Performing Arts Grammar School (abbreviated as APGS) is an independent co-educational specialist secondary day school that specialises in creative and performing arts, located in Broadway, , an inner-city suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. History The school, formerly known as the "Australian International Performing Arts High School" (AIPAH), was established in January 2005 with a total of 27 students for the purpose of providing a high quality, arts rich education to talented students of the wider community. In 2012 the school moved to a purpose built facility in Broadway, Glebe in order to reach a wider demographic of students. Along with the new location, the school was renamed to the "Australian Performing Arts Grammar School" (APGS) to emphasise the renewed shift towards performing arts and academic excellence. Seymour Centre
The Seymour Centre is a multi-purpose performing arts centre within the University of Sydney in the Australian city of Sydney. It is located on the corner of City Rd and Cleveland St in Chippendale, just south-west of the city centre. The building was designed by architectural firm Allen Jack+Cottier and was opened in 1975. Dion Beebe A.C.S. A.S.C. ( ; born 18 May 1968) is an Australian-South African cinematographer. Originally from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, his family moved to Cape Town, South Africa in 1972. Dion studied cinematography at the Australian Film Television and Radio School from 1987 to 1989. Beebe was nominated for an Academy Award and BAFTA for his work on Rob Marshall's ''Chicago'', and won the 2006 Academy Award for his work on the director's later ''Memoirs of a Geisha''. He is known for his use of stylized, highly saturated colour palettes and for his experimental use of high-speed digital video on Michael Mann's ''Collateral'' (for which he won a BAFTA for Best Cinematography) and ''Miami Vice''. Enmore Theatre
The Enmore Theatre is a theatre and entertainment venue in Sydney, Australia. It was built in 1908. It is located at 118–132 Enmore Road in Newtown, in the inner west of Sydney's suburbs. It was first opened in 1912 as a photo-play theatre. It was run by a well-known theatre family at the time, the Szarka Brothers. Today's Enmore Theatre is the longest running live theatre in Sydney, hosting concerts, comedians, plays and all forms of performance.
