Breed
A breed is a specific group of domestic animals having homogeneous appearance (phenotype), homogeneous behavior, and/or other characteristics that distinguish it from other organisms of the same species. In literature, there exist several slightly deviating definitions. Australian Pit Game
The Australian Pit Game is a breed of chicken, developed in Australia in the early 1900s for cockfighting by British soldiers stationed in New South Wales. History Australian Pit Game have been standardised since 1936, when the original standard was drawn up by the Big Game Club of Australia. A bantam variety was standardised in 1981 by the Bantam Club of New South Wales and the Pit Game Club of Australia, founded the same year. The Malay is a breed of game chicken. It is among the tallest breeds of chicken, and may stand over (36 inches) high. The Malay is bred principally in Europe, and in Australia and the United States. It was derived, partly in Devon and Cornwall in south-west England, from birds imported from Indian subcontinent or South-east Asia in the first decades of the nineteenth century, when large birds of this type were widespread in northern India, in Indonesia and in the Malay Peninsula. The Old English Game is a British breed of domestic chicken. It was probably originally bred for cockfighting. Purely an exhibition bird, Modern Game were developed to be most aesthetically pleasing and to epitomize the visual appeal of the gamecock or fighting cock.
