Australian F4 Championship
Formula 4 Australian Championship Certified by FIA is an upcoming Australian motor racing series for open-wheel cars complying with FIA Formula 4 regulations. The inaugural championship, known as the CAMS Jayco Australian Formula 4 Championship, was organised from 2015 to 2019. Formula 4 was developed and certified by the FIA as the pre-eminent open-wheel development category across the globe; the critical step between elite junior karting, Formula 3 and ultimately Formula 1. Will Brown (racing Driver)
William Brown (born 5 June 1998) is an Australian racing driver currently competing in the Repco Supercars Championship with Erebus Motorsport, driving the No. 9 Holden ZB Commodore. In 2017, Brown received the Mike Kable Young Gun Award, and was also awarded The Peter Brock Medal by the Confederation of Australian Motorsport (CAMS) for his outstanding year in racing. With championship wins in both the Australian Formula 4 and the Australian Toyota Racing Series in 2016, Brown became one of only five drivers in Australian motorsport history to achieve two national racing titles in one year. 2016 Australian Formula 4 Championship
The 2016 CAMS Australian Formula 4 Championship is the second Australian Formula 4 Championship, a motor racing competition for open-wheel racing cars complying with Formula 4 regulations, which were created by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) for entry-level open-wheel championships. Teams and drivers are competing in eighteen races at six venues, starting on 1 April and ending on 23 October. The Tatuus F4-T421 is an open-wheel formula race car, designed, developed and built by Italian manufacturer Tatuus, for Formula 4 junior categories, since 2021. EcoBoost is a series of turbocharged, direct-injection gasoline engines produced by Ford and originally co-developed by FEV Inc. (now named FEV North America Inc.). EcoBoost engines are designed to deliver power and torque consistent with those of larger- displacement (cylinder volume), naturally aspirated engines, while achieving about 30% better fuel efficiency and 15% fewer greenhouse emissions, according to Ford. Monocoque ( ), also called structural skin, is a structural system in which loads are supported by an object's external skin, in a manner similar to an egg shell. Starting in the 2016–17 season, the all new Formula 4 UAE Championship was launched by the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile, and its national affiliate the Automobile & Touring Club of the United Arab Emirates (ATCUAE), who acted as the championship's promoter. Currently, the series is governed by the Emirates Motorsport Organisation (EMSO) and promoted by AUH Motorsports.
