Commonwealth Games Australia (CGA) is the Commonwealth Games Association for Australia, and is responsible for representing and promoting the Commonwealth Sport movement in the country, and organises the participation of athletes at the Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games. It changed it name from the Australian Commonwealth Games Association to Commonwealth Games Australia in 2015. Chris Fydler
Christopher John Fydler (born 8 November 1972) is a former competitive swimmer from Australia, who competed in three consecutive Summer Olympics for his native country, starting in 1992. Fydler represented Australia at an international level from 1989 to 2000. During his career he amassed over 20 national championships including five consecutive national 100-metre freestyle championships. His finest hour came at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, when he was a member of the men's 4×100-metre freestyle relay team that defeated the Americans and won the gold medal in the prestigious event, alongside Michael Klim, Ian Thorpe and Ashley Callus. It was the first time in Olympic history that the US team had been beaten in that event. Fydler competed in the Gladiator Individual Sports Athletes Challenge in 1995. Bruce James Quick (born 4 October 1959 in Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian sport shooter. Since 1988, Quick had won a total of forty three medals (twenty seven gold, six silver, and nine bronze) in the rapid fire, centre fire, standard pistol, 50m pistol and Air pistol at the Oceanian Shooting Championships. He also captured a bronze medal in the rapid fire pistol pairs, along with his partner David Chapman at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India, with a combined score of 1,125 points. Dorothy Edna Roche (1928 – 11 November 2021), was an international lawn bowls competitor for Australia. Bowls career Roche took up the sport of bowls in 1975.
