Glen Housman
Glen Clifford Housman (born 3 September 1971) is an Australian former distance freestyle swimmer of the 1980s and 1990s, who won the silver medal in the 1500-metre freestyle, swimming at the 1992 Summer Olympics. His career was overshadowed by fellow Australian Kieren Perkins, and was also marred by illness. Housman entered the international stage after winning the 400-, 800- and 1500-metre freestyle events at the 1989 Australian championships, gaining selection for the Pan Pacific Championships in Tokyo, where he claimed gold in the 1500-metre event. He continued to improve, breaking the 1500-metre world record in Adelaide at the Australian trials for the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland. Thomas Stachewicz
Thomas Stachewicz (born 5 December 1965) is a former freestyle and backstroke swimmer, who represented Australia at three Summer Olympics. Stachewicz made his Olympic debut in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, where he competed in the heats of the Men's 4×200-metre freestyle relay. The Australian 4×200-metre relay team recorded national records in both the preliminaries and final, finishing with a time of 7 minutes 25.63 seconds, 0.85 of a second behind third place Great Britain. Stachewicz swam the preliminary only at this meet. At the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, Stachewicz was part of the gold medal-winning men's 4×200-metre freestyle relay team. Chris Fydler
Christopher John Fydler (born 8 November 1972) is a former competitive swimmer from Australia, who competed in three consecutive Summer Olympics for his native country, starting in 1992. Fydler represented Australia at an international level from 1989 to 2000. During his career he amassed over 20 national championships including five consecutive national 100-metre freestyle championships. His finest hour came at the Sydney 2000 Olympics, when he was a member of the men's 4×100-metre freestyle relay team that defeated the Americans and won the gold medal in the prestigious event, alongside Michael Klim, Ian Thorpe and Ashley Callus. It was the first time in Olympic history that the US team had been beaten in that event. Fydler competed in the Gladiator Individual Sports Athletes Challenge in 1995. Mark Andrew Foster (born 12 May 1970) is an English former competitive swimmer who represented Great Britain in the Olympics and world championships, and swam for England in the Commonwealth Games. Foster is a former world champion and won multiple medals in international competition during his long career. He competed primarily in butterfly and freestyle at 50 metres. Foster is a specialist short-course (25 metre pool) swimmer. In terms of medals and longevity (1986–2008), he is amongst the most successful British swimmers of all time. Angus James Waddell (born 25 July 1964) is a former freestyle swimmer who competed for Australia at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. There he finished in 15th overall position in the 50-metre freestyle. Angus Waddell finished 10th in the high jump at the 1982 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane and eight years later won a silver medal in the 50-metre freestyle at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand.
