Australia's Next Top Model (season 6)
The sixth season of ''Australia's Next Top Model'' premiered on 20 July 2010 on Fox8. Sarah Murdoch returned as the host and leading judge for this season. Alex Perry and Charlotte Dawson also returned as judges. The prizes for this season included a one-year modelling contract with Priscilla's Model Management, a 25,000 contract to be the face Levi’s, a trip to New York to meet with Elite Model Management, a brand new Ford Fiesta Zetec, an eight-page editorial spread and the cover of ''Harper's Bazaar'' Australia, and 20,000 courtesy of U by Kotex. The winner of the competition was 17-year-old Amanda Ware from Mermaid Beach, Queensland. Series summary A few major changes were made this season. Jez Smith returned as part of the judging panel for the first time since the third season, and Jonathan Pease was replaced by fashion icon Josh Flinn, due to the former's work conflicts. Yarraville is an inner-city suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Maribyrnong local government area. Echuca ( ) is a town on the banks of the Murray River and Campaspe River in Victoria, Australia. The border town of Moama is adjacent on the northern side of the Murray River in New South Wales. Echuca is the administrative centre and largest settlement in the Shire of Campaspe. Sorrento, Western Australia
Sorrento is a northern coastal suburb of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia in the local government area of the City of Joondalup. At its northwestern corner is the Hillarys Boat Harbour, built in the late 1980s. History A private subdivision of freehold land known as "Sorrento" was surveyed here in 1929. It is assumed that the name was taken from the Italian seaside town of Sorrento which is located south of Naples opposite the Isle of Capri. Prior to white settlement, the Whadjuk Aboriginal people, who called the area Mooro, gathered abalone and other shellfish in large numbers off the nearby reefs. The first European to settle in the area was Patrick Marmion, master whaler, who operated a whaling station in the area in 1849. There are still some remains of the old whaling station at the present-day Surf Lifesaving Club site, and a monument to Marmion can be found in Geneff Park in Padbury Circle. Bull Creek, Western Australia
Bull Creek is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the local government area of City of Melville. The suburb lies to the south of a creek of the same name, which flows into the Canning River. History Prior to European settlement, Bull Creek was inhabited by Aboriginal people from the Wadjuk Beeliar tribe. They used the wetlands as a summer source of food and fresh water. The area is significant to the Beeliar and is referred to as Gabbiljee, the watery place at the end of the river. The name was adopted by the City of Melville Council in December 1968. The creek was named after an early settler, Henry Bull to whom a grant of of nearby land was made in 1830. A larger grant of later in that year was made to Thomas Middleton; it is this land that today makes up the largest part of the suburb.
