Aurélien Clerc (born 26 August 1979) is a Swiss former professional road bicycle racer who last rode for UCI ProTour team . He retired from pro cycling after 2009, unable to find a new team, and started a new career as an insurance adviser. His sporting career began with Velo Club Cycliphile Bex. 2013 Tour De Romandie
The 2013 Tour de Romandie was the 67th running of the Tour de Romandie cycling stage race. The race consisted of six stages, beginning with a prologue stage in Le Châble on 23 April and concluded with another individual time trial, in Geneva, on 28 April. It was the fourteenth race of the 2013 UCI World Tour season. The race was won by Great Britain's Chris Froome of , who led the race from start to finish – the first time that a rider had led from start-to-finish – after winning the opening prologue in Le Châble, extending his advantage towards the end of the race. Ultimately, Froome won the general classification by 54 seconds over runner-up Simon Špilak (), who was the winner of the race's Glossary of bicycling#queen stage, queen stage – the fourth stage – to Les Diablerets, ahead of Froome. Dwars door West-Vlaanderen is a road bicycle race through the Belgian province of West Flanders. History The race was originally created unter the name Omloop der Vlaamse Ardennen (''English'': Tour of the Flemish Ardennes) in 1945 as a one-day race. It remained like that until 1999, when it became a two-day stage race and was renamed Guldensporentweedaagse. In 2003 it was extended to three days and became known as the Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen (''English'': Three Days of West Flanders), and held on to this format until 2016.
