''Aurora'' () is Taiwanese Mandopop artist Angela Zhang's second Mandarin studio album. It was released by Linfair Records 1 December 2004. A second edition, ''Aurora (DVD Edition)'' was released 28 January 2005 with a bonus DVD containing music videos. The album features a duet and music video, "快樂崇拜" (Adoration to Happiness) with Taiwanese singer and rapper Will Pan, which was also released in his third studio album ''Wu Ha'' under his label Universal Music Taiwan. The track "Mama Mama" was nominated for ''Top 10 Gold Songs'' at the Hong Kong TVB8 Awards, presented by television station TVB8, in 2005. Mandopop
Mandopop or Mandapop refers to Standard Chinese, Mandarin popular music. The genre has its origin in the jazz-influenced popular music of 1930s Shanghai known as Shidaiqu; with later influences coming from Japanese enka, Hong Kong's Cantopop, Taiwan's Hokkien pop, and in particular the School campus song, Campus Song folk movement of the 1970s. 'Mandopop' may be used as a general term to describe popular songs performed in Mandarin. Though Mandopop predates Cantopop, the English term was coined around 1980 after "Cantopop" became a popular term for describing popular songs in Cantonese. ''Pandora'' () is Taiwanese Mandopop artist Angela Chang's third Mandarin studio album. It was released on 1 January 2006 by Linfair Records. The ''Pandora (Bump Off Lover Edition)'' () was released on 24 February 2006 with a bonus DVD containing seven music videos and Taiwanese drama ''Bump Off Lover'' sneak peeks. The track "潘朵拉" (Pandora) was nominated for ''Top 10 Gold Songs'' at the Hong Kong TVB8 Awards, presented by television station TVB8, in 2006. Taiwanese People
Taiwanese people may be generally considered the people of Taiwan who share a common culture, ancestry and speak Taiwanese Mandarin, Hokkien, Hakka or indigenous Taiwanese languages as a mother tongue. Wilber Pan (; born 6 August 1980), also known as Will Pan, is a Taiwanese-American singer, songwriter, rapper, actor and entrepreneur. He started his career as a host of Channel V programs. In 2011, Pan was awarded Best Actor for ''Endless Love'' ( 愛∞無限) at the 46th Golden Bell Awards, Taiwan's equivalent to the Emmy Awards. In recent years, Pan ventured into the business world. Pan's business interests extends into streetwear fashion and developing of mobile games. 16th Golden Melody Awards
The 16th Golden Melody Awards were held on 28 May 2005 at the Kaohsiung Cultural Center in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Summary Sales of popular music had dropped more than 60 percent since its 1998 peak, leading to a few appeals during the night for people not to buy unlicensed goods. Although Taiwanese singer Jay Chou started the evening with six nominations, he did not win in any of the categories. During the presentation for the award of Best Male Mandarin Artist, Hong Kong actress Karen Mok could be heard announcing the winner as "Wang Lixing", combining the Chinese names for Leehom Wang () and Stanley Huang (). This mistake resulted in a confusion where Wang took the stage to receive the award without realizing that Mok had made the mistake. The actual award was meant for Huang, who was a relative newcomer compared to the more popular Wang.
