Auron is the name of two fictional DC Comics superheroes. Auron (Omega Men) The first Auron originally appeared in '' Green Lantern'' (vol. 2) #142 (July 1981), though he first appeared in his original form, Lambien, in a flashback sequence in ''Green Lantern'' (vol. 2) #141 (June 1981). Lambien, along with his twin brother the first Citadelian, was born as a result of a Psion attempt to crossbreed the Okaaran X'Hal with a Branx warrior. A subsequent experiment gave X'Hal godlike powers which she used to escape and return to Okaara with her two sons. As an adult, Lambien was among the leaders of the Vegan system, known as the Omega Men, who resisted the aggression of the Citadel. Lambien sacrifices himself to enable to rest of the Omega Men to flee to safety. His body was placed in stasis where it was later reborn during a conflict on earth between the Omega Men and the Gordanians. An aurone is a heterocyclic chemical compound which is a type of flavonoid. There are two isomers of the molecule, with (''E'')- and (''Z'')-configurations. The molecule contains a benzofuran element associated with a benzylidene linked in position 2. In aurone, a chalcone-like group is closed into a 5-membered ring instead of the 6-membered ring more typical of flavonoids. Auron is a ski resort with of ski runs, at an elevation of to , in the French alps in the Alpes-Maritimes department. It is located above the Tinée Valley near the town of Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée. It is situated north of Nice. The resort is part of the Stations du Mercantour group, along with Isola 2000 and St. Dalmas. Piste and Lift Facilities Auron has a total of 43 runs (as of December 2015), including 3 green runs, 16 blue runs, 15 red runs and 9 black runs. In total there is 135 km of piste for skiing and snowboarding. Auron currently has 3 gondola lifts, 9 chairlifts, 3 button lifts and one rope lift for beginners. The Auron () is a long river in central France, a left tributary of the river Yèvre (Cher), Yèvre. Its source is near the village of Valigny, west of Lurcy-Lévis. The Auron flows generally northwest through the following towns, all in the Departments of France, department of Cher (department), Cher: Bannegon, Dun-sur-Auron, Saint-Just, Cher, Saint-Just, Plaimpied-Givaudins and Bourges.
