Auriac-Lagast is a commune in the Aveyron department in the Occitanie region of southern France. The inhabitants of the commune are known as ''Aurigastois'' or ''Aurigastoises''. Geography Auriac-Lagast is located some 27 km south of Rodez and 35 km north by north-east of Carmaux. Access to the commune is by the D522 road from Cassagnes-Bégonhès in the north-west, which passes through the heart of the commune and the village and continues south-east to Durenque. The D25 passes inside the eastern border of the commune as it goes from Salmiech to Villefranche-de-Panat. Apart from the village, there are the hamlets of: *Belle Sagne, *Belvezet, *La Cailholie, *Castanies, *La Garde, *Ginestous, *La Malborie, *Moncan, *Saint-Leon, *Le Roube, *La Roque, *Randan, *Les Salettes, The commune is almost entirely farmland with a few forests. Geography Arvieu is located some 23 km south by south-east of Rodez and 7 km north of Alrance. Access to the commune is by the D56 road from Pont-de-Salars in the north-east passing through the commune and the village and continuing south to Durenque. The D82 branches off the D56 north of the village and goes north to Flavin. The D577 branches off the D56 in the south of the commune and goes west to Salmiech. Alrance (; oc, Alrança) is a commune in the Aveyron department in the Occitanie region of southern France. The inhabitants of the commune are known as ''Alrançais'' or ''Alrançaises'' Geography Alrance is located some 30 km west of Millau and about 50 km north-east of Albi. The commune can be accessed by the D56 road which runs north-east from Durenque and intersects the road D25 in the commune. It continues north through the commune to Arvieu. The D25 comes south-east from Salmiech through most of the length of the commune and continues south-east to Villefranche-de-Panat. Access to the village is from the north-east on road D659 which runs off the D577 south of the Lac de Pareloup. The D659 runs south-west and ends at the village.
