Aurelio And Arístides Rodríguez
During the later stages of the Putumayo genocide, the brothers Aurelio and Arístides Rodríguez respectively managed the Natural rubber, rubber stations of Santa Catalina and La Sabana, which were located near the Cahuinari River. The rubber collected at these stations was dependent on Slavery, slave labor from the Witoto, Huitoto, Bora people, Boras and Resígaro language, Resígaro indigenous populations. Between 1903 and 1907 the Rodríguez brothers were employed by J.C. Arana y Hermanos, which became the Peruvian Amazon Company in 1907, both companies were founded by the Peruvians, Peruvian rubber baron Julio César Arana. Putumayo Genocide
The Putumayo genocide () refers to the severe exploitation and subsequent ethnocide of the Indigenous population in the Putumayo region. The booms of raw materials incentivized the exploration and occupation of uncolonised land in the Amazon by several South American countries, gradually leading to the subjugation of the local tribes in the pursuit of rubber extraction. The genocide was primarily perpetrated by the enterprise of Peruvian Amazon rubber cycle#Rubber barons, rubber baron Julio César Arana during the Amazon rubber boom from 1879 to 1911.
