Aura (band)
Aura (stylised as AurA) was a rock band formed in April 2007 in Worcestershire, England. The line up consisted of Dave Small (Vocals), Jamie Guggenheim (Guitar), Blake Probert (Bass), and Jesse Lee Garcia (Drums/percussion). Background Aura performed and wrote their own original material written by main songwriter Dave Small (Vocals) with input from various other band members, they also performed songs by artists who had inspired and influenced them in their band style of 1960s/1970s classic rock and blues. Achievements included sharing the bill with Walter Trout, Wishbone Ash, Hayseed Dixie and Rose Hill Drive; While supporting Stan Webb's Chicken Shack at Stourbridge Rock Café in 2000 they were spotted by a promoter who wanted a young act to support Status Quo. They played before 5,000 people at an open-air concert at Dudley Castle in 2007. Worcestershire
Worcestershire ( , ; written abbreviation: Worcs) is a county in the West Midlands of England. The area that is now Worcestershire was absorbed into the unified Kingdom of England in 927, at which time it was constituted as a county (see History of Worcestershire). Over the centuries the county borders have been modified, but it was not until 1844 that substantial changes were made. Worcestershire was abolished as part of local government reforms in 1974, with its northern area becoming part of the West Midlands and the rest part of the county of Hereford and Worcester. In 1998 the county of Hereford and Worcester was abolished and Worcestershire was reconstituted, again without the West Midlands area. Andrew Marston
Andrew Marston (born 24 October 1981) is an English radio presenter, music producer and club DJ. He works with musicians under the BBC Music Introducing scheme. He was the first person to give airtime to artists such as Ellie Goulding, Becky Hill and 220 Kid. Early career Marston represented his school as a musician playing keyboards in various bands and with their orchestra. It was through a couple of gigs he did for the church and the city's MP where he was offered his first paid job playing the church organ at St Barnabas and at All Saints in Hereford. This he did for two years while regularly touring the country in a covers band. Hospital radio At the age of 14, Marston become a volunteer with Hereford Hospital radio, providing PA services at local events and presenting a magazine show called "MusiChat". Naked Remedy are a British psychedelic blues duo formed in Worcestershire, England. The current line-up consists of Dave Small (Vocals/Drums) and Tom Callinswood (Guitar/Effects). They performed at Forum Live at the LG Arena Birmingham before Paul Weller took to the main stage in November 2010. Background Naked Remedy formed from the ashes of AurA after lead singer Dave Small together with Tom Callinswood with Nav Sahota and Jack Ryland-Smith found themselves playing together regularly at local jam sessions, the four discovered that they could improvise and invent music together for hours. Much of their reputation has been built on the strength and spontaneity of their live show. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Gwyn Ashton (born 1960, Wales) is a Welsh–Australian blues/rock guitarist and singer-songwriter. Biography The Welsh-born and singer-songwriter/guitarist Gwyn Ashton migrated to Adelaide, South Australia in the 1960s, picked up a guitar at 12 and at 16 started his musical journey, playing bars and festivals across the country. Moving to Sydney in the 80s Gwyn Ashton was one-time lead guitarist for Stevie Wright and Swanee and in the 90s he moved to Melbourne and played on two of The Masters Apprentices Jim Keays' solo albums. Ashton opened for Rory Gallagher, Junior Wells and various blues bands from the US when they came to Australia. The Twang
The Twang are an English indie rock band, formed in 2004 in Birmingham. The band have released five studio albums - ''Love It When I Feel Like This'' (2007), ''Jewellery Quarter'' (2009), '' 10:20'' (2012), '' Neon Twang'' (2014), ''If Confronted Just Go Mad'' (2019) and a B-sides compilation, ''Subscription'' (2017).
