Aung Yin (singer)
Aung Yin ( my, အောင်ရင်, , born 28 June 1964) is a Burmese pop singer, who reached the height of his career in the late 1980s to early 1990s. Early life and education Aung Yin was born on 28 June 1964 in Rangoon, Burma to parent Han Yin and Khin Myaing. He is the eldest son of three siblings, having two younger brothers. Aung Yin began singing on stage in the 4th standard and immediately joined the music industry upon graduating from the 10th standard from State High School No. 1 Dagon (BEHS No. 1 Dagon). Career Aung released his first album in 1984, but it was not successful. He married Moe Thinza Myint in 1985. His best selling album "Min ma shi de nauk" () was released in 1988. During his career, he also released many duet albums with other well-known singers like May Sweet and Hayma Ne Win, under the mentorship of Burmese singer-songwriter Htoo Ein Thin. May Sweet ( my, မေဆွိ; ; born Swe Aye Myint ( ) on 13 February 1962) is a Burmese singer and actress, and considered one of the most commercially successful female singers in the history of Burmese pop music. She is most famous for her Burmese covers of Euro disco and American rock and pop songs as well as classic Burmese songs from the pre- and post-war eras. May Sweet was the dominant female singer of Burmese pop music from the late 1970s to the 1980s, bridging popular singers from the 1970s like Nwe Yin Win and L Khun Yi to Maykhala, her main rival in the mid-1980s, and to Hayma Ne Win and Connie in the late 1980s. Hayma Ne Win
Hay Mar Nay Win ( my, ဟေမာနေဝင်း, ; commonly spelt Hayma Ne Win) is a Burmese singer who was popular during the late 1980s and early 1990s. She is considered one of the most successful singers of her generation, releasing over 25 albums since her debut. She began her singing career by making appearances on stage shows with Thein Tan's band LPJ, eventually singing songs written by Kaiser and Thukhamein Hlaing, such as "Butterfly" () and "Where Does Love Start?" Htoo Eain Thin ( my, ထူးအိမ်သင်; ; born Kyaw Myint Lwin (, ); 1 July 1963 – 14 August 2004) was one of the most popular and respected Burmese singer-songwriters. He brought a new style of pop rock music to the Burmese music scene in mid-1980s, and was popular till his death in 2004. He released 14 solo albums in his 18-year career.
