Augusto Lima
Augusto César Lima Brito (born September 17, 1991) is a Brazilian-Spanish professional basketball player for Unicaja of the Liga ACB. He is 6'10" (2.08m) tall and he can play as either a power forward or a center. He is left handed, but at the age of ten, his parents forced him to learn to write and shoot with the right. He was born in Rio de Janeiro. Professional career Lima went to Unicaja at 16, to play with the junior teams of the organization. He also combined his playing time with Málaga's farm team, Clínicas Rincón, of the Liga EBA. Under coach Aíto García Reneses, in 2009–10, in 9 games played in the Spanish League, he averaged 6.4 points and 3.7 rebounds, in 15 minutes per game. Basketball competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto were held from July 16 to 25 at the Ryerson Athletic Centre. A total of eight men's and women's teams competed in each tournament respectively. The 2022 FIBA AmeriCup was the 19th edition of the FIBA AmeriCup, the main tournament for senior men's basketball national teams of the FIBA Americas. The 2011 FIBA Americas Championship for Men, later known as the FIBA AmeriCup, was the qualifying tournament for FIBA Americas, at the 2012 Summer Olympics men's basketball tournament, in London. This FIBA AmeriCup tournament was held in Mar del Plata, Argentina, from August 30 to September 11, 2011. Argentina won the title, defeating Brazil, 80–75, in the final match. This was the country's second AmeriCup championship. Host FIBA Americas named Mar del Plata, Argentina the host of the 2011 competition on May 24, 2010 at a meeting in San Juan. The FIBA AmeriCup (previously known as the FIBA Americas Championship) is the Americas Basketball Championship that takes place every four years between national teams of the Western Hemisphere continents. Since FIBA organised the entire Western Hemisphere west of the Atlantic Ocean under one zone, countries from North America, Central America, the Caribbean and South America compete in this tournament.
