August Falise
Augustinus Franciscus Henri Falise (26 January 1875 in Wageningen – 7 January 1936) was a Dutch sculptor and medailleur (minter of medals). Next to smaller sculptures he designed large monuments of public figures in stone or messing which are still present in many towns in the Netherlands. Biography Falise descended from a French/Belgian family of plasterers that had settled in Wageningen. He was a teacher of anatomic drawings and modelling at the AKV St. Joost in 's-Hertogenbosch. In 1912 he moved in Wageningen into the house ''Antonia''. The street where he lived, was partially renamed in 1941 to ''August Faliseweg''. He was married to Antoinette Hof; the marriage was childless. Falise won many prizes and received Dutch and international awards. In 1936 the award of the Order of St. Gregory the Great and the Belgium Order of the Crown (Belgium). Binnenhof
The Binnenhof (; en, Inner Court) is a complex of buildings in the city centre of The Hague, Netherlands, next to the Hofvijver lake. It houses the meeting place of both houses of the States General of the Netherlands, as well as the Ministry of General Affairs and the office of the Prime Minister of the Netherlands. Built primarily in the 13th century, the Gothic castle originally functioned as residence of the counts of Holland and became the political centre of the Dutch Republic in 1584. Zeijen (also: ''Zeyen'') is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Tynaarlo. The village was first mentioned in 1370 as Lutbert van Zien, and means "slowly flowing" which is probably a reference to the Matsloot stream. Zeijen is an ''esdorp'' without a church which developed in the Middle Ages. Zeijen was home to 215 people in 1840. The ''hunebed'' ( dolmen) is located near the nature area de Zeijer Strubben. The stones are partially buried. The ''hunebed'' has four capstones. Emmen (Drenthe)
Emmen () is a municipality and town of the province of Drenthe in the northeastern Netherlands. History A planned city, Emmen arose from several small farming and peat-harvesting communities which have dotted the province of Drenthe since the Middle Ages. Traces of these communities can still be seen in the form of the villages of Westenesch, Noordbarge and Zuidbarge: they have a separate history and layout but are surrounded by the suburbs and the center of Emmen. The expansion of the town did not happen until after the Second World War. Herman Schaepman
Herman Johannes Aloysius Maria Schaepman (Tubbergen, Overijssel, 2 March 1844 – Rome, 21 January 1903) was a Dutch priest, politician and poet. Life Herman’s father was major Theodoor Eduard Johannes Schaepman. Schaepman went to primary school in Tubbergen. He made his studies in the college of Oldenzaal and went to the seminaries of Culemborg and Rijsenburg, was ordained as a Catholic priest at Utrecht in 1867, and obtained the degree of Doctor of Divinity in 1869 at Rome. He was immediately able to use his education as secretary to bishop of Haarlem at the Vatican Council of 1869-1870. He also functioned as a kind of quartermaster for the Dutch bishops and had a spot in the front row during the entire council. In 1869 his collected poems were published, he was only 25.
