August 14 ( bn, আগস্ট ১৪) is a 2020 Bangladeshi crime thriller streaming television series written & directed by Shihab Shaheen for the online video on demand platform Binge. It features Tasnuva Tisha, Shatabdi Wadud, Shahiduzzaman Selim in lead roles. The series is inspired from a true incident of 2013, when a police officer Mahfuzur Rahman & his wife Swapna Rahman were murdered by their own drug addicted daughter Oishee Rahman at their Chamelibagh resident in Dhaka. It is the first ever real-life crime television series of Bangladesh. Shihab Shaheen ( bn, শিহাব শাহীন) is a Bangladeshi film director, producer and screenwriter. He made his directorial debut in 2001 with a television drama ''"Ghurni"''. He made his breakthrough with the television serial, ''Romijer Ayna'' in 2005. His notable telefilm works include ''X-Factor, X-Factor 2, Bhalobashi Tai, Bhalobashi Tai Bhalobeshe Jai, Monforing er Golpo, Monsuba Junction, Nilpori Nilanjona, Nil Projapoti and Bini Shutor Taan''.
