Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy are Hanna-Barbera cartoon characters who debuted on ''The Quick Draw McGraw Show'' and appeared in their own segment. The segments centered on the misadventures of a dachshund father-and-son team. Augie Nieto
Augustine L. Nieto II (1958 – February 22, 2023) was the founder and chief executive of Life Fitness, as well as the chairman of Augie's Quest to Cure ALS, and the ALS Therapy Development Institute. He and his wife, Lynne, lived in Corona Del Mar, California, and had four children and eight grandchildren. He was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) disease in 2005, and established "Augie's Quest to Cure ALS", which has raised over $75 million in funds for research into the disease. Augie T. (born Augusto E. Tulba in 1968) is an American politician and member of the Honolulu City Council. Tulba is a Radio personality on KPHI, branded as "Shaka 96.7", based in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was also a successful radio personality on KDNN and on KQMQ-FM. He started his career in comedy in the 1990s, but came to prominence in the 2000s. He was influenced by Rap Reiplinger. August Edmun "Augie" Garrido Jr. (February 6, 1939 – March 15, 2018) was an American professional baseball player and coach in NCAA Division I college baseball, best known for his stints with the Cal State Fullerton Titans baseball, Cal State Fullerton Titans and Texas Longhorns baseball, Texas Longhorns. Garrido compiled a collegiate record of 1,975–951–9 and retired in 2016 as the coach with, at the time, the most wins in college baseball history. August W. "Augie" Hoffmann III (February 23, 1981) is a former American football guard and the current offensive line coach at Rutgers. Hoffmann attended Saint Joseph Regional High School in neighboring Montvale, New Jersey. He then went to Boston College, where he played football all four years. Blunt was born Augustine Durell Blunt in Monroe, Michigan, located south of Detroit, Michigan; his parents were William Blunt and Essie C. Wilson-Blunt. He and his parents lived Monroe. August Joseph Donatelli (August 22, 1914 – May 24, 1990) was an American umpire in Major League Baseball who worked in the National League from 1950 to 1973. Highly regarded for his ability, he was also known for his inclination to eject players and managers quickly and dramatically. Jacob "Little Augie" Orgen (January 1893 – October 16, 1927) was a New York gangster involved in bootlegging and labor racketeering during Prohibition. Biography Born to a middle-class Orthodox Jewish family from Austria as Jacob Orgenstein, Orgen became a well-known labor slugger for Benjamin "Dopey Benny" Fein by the early 1910s. Being ambitious, he had formed his own gang, "The Little Augies", c. 1911. He operated his labor rackets diligently for the next five or six years until his former boss, Dopey Benny, had faded from prominence. His rising star was soon put on hold, however, when "Kid Dropper" Nathan Kaplan and Johnny Spanish were both released from Sing Sing in 1917.
