Auf Wiedersehen (film)
''Auf Wiedersehen '' is a 1961 West German film directed by Harald Philipp and starring Gert Fröbe, Joachim Fuchsberger, Günter Pfitzmann, Werner Peters and Elke Sommer. It was based on a novel by Reinhold Pabel and features Louis Armstrong in a cameo role. It was shot at the Spandau Studios in Berlin. Location shooting took place in Gibraltar, Spain and Berlin. The film's sets were designed by the art directors Otto Erdmann and Oskar Pietsch. Peter Capell
Peter Capell (3 September 1912 – 3 March 1986) was a German actor who was active on screen from 1945 until 1985. Apart from a lengthy film career, he appeared in many television series and mini-series. He appeared in many old time radio programs including the series '' Dimension X''. His first role was in '' Winterset'', shortly after the end of the Second World War. His final role came a year before his death, when he appeared in ''Mamas Geburtstag''. Both of these were television productions. He also appeared in many films, including ''Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory'' (1971). Capell was also in Stanley Kubrick's 1957 war film ''Paths of Glory'' (he also narrated the film's opening sequence), co-starring Kirk Douglas. Death Capell died in Munich, West Germany on March 3, 1986, aged 73. No cause of death was announced. Margot Eskens (12 August 1936 – 29 July 2022) was a German Schlager singer, most popular in the 1950s and 1960s. In 1956 and 1957 she had two #1 hits, "Tiritomba" (which sold over 800,000 copies) and "Cindy, oh Cindy", which was her biggest hit, which stayed for 25 weeks in the German Singles Top 10. Several duets with , the brother of Caterina Valente, also ensued. Eskens collaborated with producer/songwriter Kurt Feltz until 1961.
